I am an English as a second language (ESL) teacher at the Cegep of St-Hyacinthe. I have been an ESL teacher since 1999, and every year, I develop new activities, choose new subjects and try new pedagogies in order to keep my own interest in my work, but also because I want to challenge my students and have them learn English in a fun and durable way. Lately, I have developed a keen interest in the use of social media and new technologies in the classroom. The concept of flipped classroom also interests me a lot. This is why I have decided to plunge into the world of collaborative work by contributing to Wikipedia. My goal is to have my students collaborate too and work together in wikis.
Apart from being a teacher, I have several interests in life, and one of them might be of some sort of interest to you: I love traveling. I caught the travel bug when I was about your age during a cegep trip to France and Spain, and I have kept traveling all over the world ever since. If you are interested, you can visit our travel blog where you will find informative and fun articles and great pictures.
