Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia

Hi Malinaccier, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! New articles

Hey there, Malinaccier! Here are a few good ideas that you can use to help in the making of articles that you might do in the future:

  • If the article that you created is under 1,000 bytes, please add the {{stub}} template into the article near the end (below the Other websites, but above the interwikis (detailed below)). This will let other editors know that it is a short article that needs to be made bigger.
  • If you have no idea what categories an article that you create goes under, please include the {{uncat}} template to the article. This will let other editors know that you need help categorizing an article appropriately.
  • Please remember to include interwikis at the bottom of an article. This will enable users to go between the many different Wikipedias that are in existence to check information and possibly add new information to the article here. It's mostly a convenience thing.

Thanks for reading this long message, and happy editing here on Simple English Wikipedia! Razorflame 16:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I would highly recommend that you re-read the second bullet point on this notice, because I've noticed that the pages that you've been creating haven't been categorized. If you don't know which category an article should go in, it would be best to add the {{uncat}} template to the article to let other people know that you don't know which category an article belongs in. No images

One of the main differences between the English Wikipedia and the Simple English Wikipedia is that we do not allow image uploads. Just thought that I would let you know. Razorflame 16:17, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

BD

Do you think you could please use {{BD}} on articles about people? One of the big differences between us and the English Wikipedia is that we use the BD template on biography pages instead of the births and deaths cat. Cheers, Razorflame 23:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA-ing

Having an RfA is a trap. Look at Razorflame. Each time he applied (about eight), he has thought there was no way he could be rejected. Now that he has been rejected so many times, though they don't know it, other users have been alienated to him. I saw that about 95% of your edits have been in the mainspace. So you are a committed editor, and that is why you have awards. I have decided to take his advice and stick it out until I'm fully ready and not repeat his mistake. On his page the advice he gave has good and he something like that to me also. I hope you'll wait it out and not be too hasty. Just a little advice. Cheers -- AmericanEagle 01:38, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

To tell you the truth, the only one that I thought I had a chance of passing was my 5th nomination. All of the others were ones that I did not believe that I had a chance of passing. Cheers, Razorflame 02:13, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Question

You any good with {{multicol}}? If you are, please fix the columns on these pages from either 4 columns to 3 columns (equal number in equal column), or from 1 column to 3 columns (equal number per column):

Thanks, Razorflame 19:01, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

hehe

ok =P

He-he... -- AmericanEagle 20:13, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I didn't think it was an actual record. I've been really working here for about 6 days and I've already created some 60 articles...Malinaccier (talk) 22:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
But wait, have you all been including like redirecting or disambiguation pages? --  AmericanEagle  22:40, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
No. With templates...My count would be even higher. :) Malinaccier (talk) 22:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Fine you'll, let the games begin! :) --  AmericanEagle  22:47, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
1,800 pages without including redirects or disambiguations. More than 2,100 with. Razorflame 14:57, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

No problem, I probably should have left a note. TheWolf 14:30, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Articles

I would just like to thank you for all of the articles that you have been creating on this Wikipedia so far! You have been doing a great job! Keep it up! I would like to give you a little advice and/or a little constructive critisism. When you make an article for a book or a series of books, I believe that it would be a good idea to create an article here for the author of that book or series of books. Do you think that might be a good idea? Cheers, Razorflame 22:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Disambiguations

When you make/edit a disambiguation page, instead of having the wording as Example may refer to:, replace it with Example may mean: or similar. It's basically more simple. Thanks. --Gwib -(talk)- 15:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I didn't realize that wasn't simple enough! Malinaccier (talk) 15:48, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
