August 2023

change

  We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Pax Britannica" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 06:03, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@MathXplore
I had made changes to both the article, to simplify the wording and remove the harder to understand concepts, and using new sources which better align to help those using simple Wikipedia. Could you please give me any examples and/advice on how I can translate articles and what I did wrong with this one? EmpLeon (talk) 10:37, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Many sentences were same with the enwiki version. Advices can be found at Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages, which is also given in the welcome section of this talk page. MathXplore (talk) 10:39, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
