Java change

- Because there shouldn't be lists of other programming languages in a particular language article, unless they are related somehow to that particular language. Basic is not related to Java (programming language), as far as I know, and QBasic is ancient. Go ahead and add your list to the end of the Programming language article, or make a new article called List of programming languages. Be sure and check every wikilink you add, though. Basic points to a disambiguation page and Java points to the island. Mistakes are OK, but if you make too many of them, we sometimes revert everything. Sorry about that. We love our new editors! - Sorry about the rollback, I was on the phone and hit the wrong spot on the computer screen. I was trying to undo an earlier mistake someone made. It should be all correct now. Very sorry. - OK, thanks for monitoring the Wiki. I can only protect 600 articles from vandalism, there are many more that need protection. It seems a lot of good articles just disappeared, too. There doesn't seem like much is left of Simple English Wikipedia. They used to have a newsletter, too. I am still happy to help out here. Technology project change
Hello Gesslein! I apologise for any inconvenience that group of students may have caused in your primary area of editing. They have now finished their project as far as I am aware. The articles they worked on can be found in this tracking category (along with some others that are still going). If they added anything that is no use whatsoever, please feel free to remove it. Your knowledge on the subject is better than mine will ever be, but I will be going over them in the next few days fixing any MOS or grammatical issues. Just letting you know. - I apologise if I discouraged any of your students from editing. Putting the notes about what is happening on the talk pages and even in the article itself was the right thing to do. I am sure if the articles are not perfect, they will be worked on eventually. Maybe I will take a look at the articles after you are done correcting and scoring them. - Not at all, I don't think you discouraged anybody- in fact they were probably happy to have a bit of guidance/correction. I have finished cleaning up now. As for scoring, I believe they had to review each others' work on the talk pages after they finished, so that was purely done through peer review. I had undone the change because it looked like an ENGVAR situation where the original author's spelling would be retained. But do you mean that there is a specific naming guideline in this instance? - No, no harm meant by me, I just thought it would be good to be compatible with the English Wikipedia, and if someone started an article with that name, it would be the same page name as English Wikipedia has, and also it is a lot easier to read and pronounce for me as hemostasis, so I assumed it would be that way for others. Sorry to upset you, go ahead and revert my revert. I thought the newbie (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/simple/wiki/Special:Contributions/71.94.44.42) was doing us a favor, so I didn't want him to feel badly his edit was reverted. - Oh, no, I wasn't saying you'd made a mistake, I was actually wondering whether I had made one myself. I know that some topics over there have guidelines which mandate defaulting to a particular variation of spelling, so I was just curious whether you meant that this was one of those cases - in which case I would need to keep that in mind as I very frequently revert anonymous users switching between spelling varieties, depending on the reason they give. Most of the time when I revert I leave the standard notice on their talk page so they know why, but in this instance I guess I forgot... No harm done at all, was just looking for some clarification.
