Um... thanks for the lovely compliment? You know what I should have done? Redirected cracker to your page. Ah well... {{Sonia|talk|en}} 22:14, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't do that again. Wikipedia's article space is not your own personal playground. Lauryn Ashby (talk) 22:15, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ha, you're the second person to crack that joke with me Sonia. The first time was, "Do you have any crackers?" "No." "Well you're white, you should have some." (We were talking about feeding ducks.) Lauryn, she convinced me over another means to do that. Ktr101 (talk) 22:16, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
My point stands, whether she "convinced" you to do it or not. This isn't a project where you can play around in the mainspace. If you wish to make nonsensical test edits, use the sandbox. You should know better. Lauryn Ashby (talk) 22:18, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I know, I just was in a jovial mood. Sorry if that bothered you. I guess all the stress on the main Wiki caused me to take a chance here. Ktr101 (talk) 22:19, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
And if you made such an edit on the English Wikipedia, you would be met with the same reaction. If you would like to constructively edit here, by all means do so and I will gladly collaborate with you. But please don't make edits such as these in the future. Lauryn Ashby (talk) 22:21, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I know, I figured I'd mess around before I got established here. I do look forward to working in the future with you though. Ktr101 (talk) 22:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have just indef blocked a user for "messing about before he got established here". Take note! fr33kman 22:57, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I get it. I fudged up and I regret it. I actually have never vandalized knowingly anywhere before that so I guess I wasn't expecting the wrath of god. Sorry all. Ktr101 (talk) 23:04, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Look at what Sonia posted above. Ktr101 (talk) 23:24, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
What was on spoiled brat? πr2 23:26, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Basically what was on the Brat disambiguation page. I redirected it to her page as a result and she reverted it. We were talking at the time so it wasn't meant as an insult. Ktr101 (talk) 23:30, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
What he said; for future reference, PiR, some people might not take as kindly to you asking about things you're not involved in. {{Sonia|talk|en}} 23:33, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi KTR, I'm following up on an article I wrote, but was declined on January 22nd. I went back in to add more sources (Forbes Magazine, Earnst & Young and Yahoo Finance). Can you take a look to see if it's goo now? Thanks a bunch. UofMBookworm Uofmbookworm (talk) 01:10, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm having trouble getting this band added due to notibility. I have used solid resources as well. Any ideas on what I can do to get this added?

Hi, I just wanted to let you know the article is no longer an orphan since now "cause marketing" links to it. I may add a couple of other links. A techie acquaintance is helping resolve the reference-formatting issue because that's not my forte and I'm finding it tough to figure out exactly what I did wrong. Thanks!

Submission on Marcio Moreira

change

Hey Kevin:

You were kind enough to review a submission of mine about six weeks ago on a man named Marcio Moreira, a personal friend who is one of the best known and accomplished people in global advertising. I understand that you felt the sourcing wasn't strong enough to establish notability. I was distracted for the past few weeks, but finally had a chance to get in touch with Marcio and some of our mutual friends and peers and secure some additional sources, including articles about him and/or his accomplishments/perspectives in Forbes, Time, USA Today in addition to those I already had from The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and scores of industry trades, entertainment publications and international magazines. Likewise, Marcio been discussed in the two biggest best sellers about Coca Cola, the product for which he steered global marketing for decades. He's truly an industry giant, so your rejection of his entry is likely my own fault for not adequately referencing the summary and convincing you of this. I also have a letter from Secretary of State Colin Powell that I wanted to attach as a photo to prove Marcio's leadership on an under-the-radar, but hugely important, effort that the State Department personally recruited him for in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. Powell and his Under-Secretary felt very strongly that Marcio's reputation as one of the pioneers in the globalization of advertising made him the best person to run their multi-cultural effort in the Middle East. Unfortunately, no press coverage was pursued for this campaign. Anyway, I'm wondering if these are the sorts of things that would alleviate your concerns about the entry before I repost my edited version, which I also shortened. I'm sure the proof is, as they say, in the pudding, but I did want to reach out first before proceeding. Sorry to have taken so long to acknowledge your effort and ask my follow up questions. I'm looking forward to hearing back and learning more for other entries I have in mind. Best, Joe

Marcio Moreira

change

Hi Kevin:

I e-mailed you, but now realize I should have posted this to your Talk Page.

Thanks again for your previous review of my entry for Marcio Moreira. I edited and resubmitted the entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Marcio_Moreira) based on your notability concerns as well as comments from Teahouse participants regarding objective tone. I added references from Forbes, Time, USA Today and others. Upon re-reading my submission, I now realize why it was rejected despite Moreira's stature in the industry. He is, indeed, one of the best known people in global advertising. I have a file of news stories about 8 inches thick from press in dozens of countries. Trying to reduce it to a readable piece has been a challenge. I hope I have addressed your concerns.

BTW, I also have a PDF and photo of a personal letter sent to him by Secretary of State Colin Powell who, as the entry describes, recruited Moreira for help on a special communications program in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. The campaign was under the radar and was not promoted. But the letter may serve as a validating source.

I greatly appreciate your help.

All the best, Intimeagain
