changeWelcome to Wikipedia. You might not have done it on purpose, but your recent change removed helpful information from Wikipedia. We ask that you do not remove things from pages, as you did to "User talk:Hockeycatcat/Archive 1", without giving a good reason in the change summary. If it was a mistake, do not worry. The part of the article you removed has been put back. If you want to try things out, please use the sandbox. If you would like to learn how to help Wikipedia, please see the welcome page. Thank you. - There was babel user information on the archive page, should be on user page hence the reason why i removed it Milanjan10 (talk) 12:17, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please discuss with the editor about the usage of babel information. MathXplore (talk) 12:20, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please avoid editing archives. Archives aim to save discussions etc. If you think an archive needs to be edited, please contact our admins at WP:AN. Thank you for your attention. MathXplore (talk) 12:17, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Template: Old talk notice
changeI saw that you added this template to Talk: Slavery. I do not see the reasoning behind using this template on this article. Not only does it further clutter the talk page, it contains innacurate information. Discussions from the early 2010s are generally signed, and putting this template discourages future discussion of older topics. Furthermore, in an actual archive, pages are marked with {{talk archive}}. Please explain to me why this template should continue to exist. MrMeAndMrMeTalk 09:17, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- It can prevent a editor from editing a old Formatted Discussion to a new one when it Gets to a Archive Page.
- Also, We can just fix the inaccuracies in the Template itself.
- If that still doesnt work, Then im fine with you telling me to Quick delete it via authors request. Its my First Template so Mistakes do Happen… Milanjan10 (talk) 12:10, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- While I see what you mean, template:talk archive already serves the purpose of preventing editors from editing archived discussions.
- My biggest issue with the template is that it discourages further discussion of topics from years ago that have not yet been fully discussed.
- I am going to put it up for deletion, where other editors can discuss their thoughts of whether the template is necessary.
- Thank you for the work you do, MrMeAndMrMeTalk 07:56, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- No problem Milanjan10 (talk) 07:57, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
1926 Women's World Games – standing long jump
changeHi, I saw you moved 1926 Women's World Games – standing long jump to 1926 Women's World Games – Standing Long Jump (with capital letters), what is the reason for that? I created the links like the consensus made at the English wikipedia. See for instance en:Athletics at the 1912 Summer Olympics – Men's standing long jump.
