Thanks
For the star. And no, you were not tiring, and brought in good new ideas. And Admins are of course there to be pestered (I hope you do not get all that fan-mail of disgruntled editors I do). Anyway, have a nice weekend. :) --Eptalon 19:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Yay!
I've found a user from the Regular English Wikipedia! I'm Jonjonbt, remember me from the email requesting a "day"? Anyway, thanks for the welcome! Jonjonbt 22:46, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Appeal Statement
Sharon, As you know, I am banned from en. I were wondering if you (if this does go ahead), could give a statement regarding my actions here if I were to appeal to the ArbCom. -- Punk Boi 8 23:18, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, for a background, see here. -- Punk Boi 8 00:01, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Greetings
Hi, I hang around en.wiki alot and still need to grasp the idea behind this. Although I may only say this, I look forward to adding alot here. However, I was wondering - are the articles on this wikipedia smaller than at en.wiki because this is a relatively new wikipedia or because its trying make it simple? Basically my overall question is should the language be simple or the content?

Categorization
I noticed you are interested in categorization of articles; thus, I would like to ask you to take a look at Special:Uncategorizedpages. I successfully reduced the number of the articles listed there from arround 100 to arround 30 and maintained this number within the past couple of days. However, it would be a good idea to have another fellow working on it too. Cheers, - Huji reply 19:48, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Sharon,
- Regarding what you said about the Stubs category, I would like to inform you that no significant dicrease happened in the number of uncat pages listed on the special page I linked above, after the readdition of stubs to that category. They were almost the same number before the Stubs category was used again, because I kept them at that level.
- Nevertheless, I clearly understand the point you made there, and am going to try to find a way (if any) to prepare a list of uncategorized pages, defined as those pages with no [[Category: command in them, in spite of their being categorized because of application of a template.
- And in reply to your suggestion of temporarily remoinv the categorization command from {{stub}}, I should remind you that even if we do this, it will take some time to show its effect. Any change to a template is not immediately reflected in the articles. At least one visit to the article is needed for the changes to be rendered in reality. That means, what you said is not an option, in my humble opinion. Indeed, I'm thinking of taking the benefit of my having a Toolserver account, to achieve the information we need.
- BTW, from now on, I would be grateful if we keep the question and answer on the same user talk page (either yours or mine, depending on where the discussion is started). - Huji reply 20:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, I'll reply to you here, even tho my long standing practice is different - but anything for a friend ;) Indeed, after messaging you, I was thinking about the practical impossibility of using that method to get a list of uncategorized articles, so please ignore that part. At any rate, I'll be happy to help with the current uncategorized pages; and if you manage to get a full list, stubs included, please let me know so I can jump in. By the way, you may have seen my message at Simple talk, in reply to your concerns on Freeganism and Feedback. Any thoughts? Love, Phaedriel - 20:27, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
VG article
Congratulations on getting Hanami to VG article status and I hope you'll get many more to come!

Why?
Why did you revert my edit to apple? --SarahM 20:15, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Gwib
I don't recall doing that, it was probably somebody tampering with my account. --SarahM 20:21, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
My password
Yes, all members of my family. I allow them to use it. --SarahM 20:23, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't know how
But I don't know how to do it.--SarahM 20:26, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Picture
Why did you remove your picture, Phaedriel? Your face on your userpage is gone, replaced by a C/J character. Why is this so? Ionas Rand [i.'ɔ.na.sız tɔk] 20:27, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
The pic of Cupid AND your picture. I thought I saw your picture on there too. Ionas Rand [i.'ɔ.na.sız tɔk] 20:32, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thank you! Can I ask you a question though? How come it's not okay to share my account with my siblings and parents? --SarahM 20:37, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Sibling
I'm not sure of the one who did it. My parents just want to know the password. Is it okay if I just tell them? (not my brothers and sister)? Thanks! --SarahM 21:29, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
hey there...
Sis- I was composing this when I got your message. I decided to copy one of my pet articles from en over here, National Museum of the United States Air Force. I am not sure how much or how little information to include. Could you look over it and the en version and give me some feedback? Thanks and love --Rogerd 21:05, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hey sis, I just added Smithsonian Institution to this project. If you could look it over, I would appreciate it. Also, I was looking over one of the links it it, castle, and I am not sure that it has the right voice for this project. To me, it reads like it was written for a child, which, IMO, is not the point of this wiki. What do you think? Thanks --Rogerd 17:10, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Could you help me?
I am making a new article here and was wondering if you could help me with it (when your not busy)? Thanks Oysterguitarist 23:25, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll go ahead and move it into the mainspace. And if you want to fill in some red links you can, just leave one for me :) Oysterguitarist 04:36, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Just a couple little things
Just wanted to point out a couple little things to you.
- When dealing with articles on people, the template {{BD}} can come in really handy. It handles the categories of birth, death (or living people) as well as the defaultsort for all categories in the article. It eases the workload when dealing with a large number of bio articles which tends to crop up when dealing with television and film.
- When using images or infoboxes and the commons or wikiquote templates, it is usually best to list the templates last in the Other websites category so they do not screw up the display. Those templates are forced to display after the last image and with many infoboxes and images on smaller articles, this can cause the other websites section to be have a huge blank spot before it can display the template then the rest of the section. By putting the templates last, the links are displayed under the heading and the templates show up when they can (after the box/image). For longer articles this isn't a problem as the infobox is done before the section starts but for smaller articles, it has a large impact on the general look of the article. In many cases the templates can even be placed after the stub tag rather than stranding that tag clear at the bottom of the page where it isn't likely to be seen. (see Hugo Weaving for an example of the layout issues. Compare the first two version and decide which looks better) -- Creol(talk) 06:10, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
The problem with the #2 seems to only affect Internet Explorer users (IE7:window verified). FFox and Safari read it fine. The problem is in how it deals with the .css property "clear" that is part of anything based of the .infobox style class. Here is what is shown on IE7 for the page with the problem. -- Creol(talk) 02:29, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Phaedriel
Hi Phaedriel. How are you? It's me your friend King Lopez from the regular Wikipedia. I have been trying to contact you by E-mail. I really need to talk to you it is important. I could not sign in to my username here so I am using an IP Address instead. Please E-mail me when you get a chance. We all miss you on Wikipedia and hope you return soon. Your friend. Greetings
Thank you kindly for your lovely welcome. :) Much appreciated. I recommended that Spiderpig AKA Punk boi run things past you first if he feels compelled to do something (like repeated RfA self-noms which are obvious SNOWS) that has got him in strife before. Trust all is well with you and the little one. :) Cheers, Sarah Ewart 05:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
