Ever heard of DTTR? I know what I'm doing perfectly well... its just I needed to go, so I couldn't fix it. No need to tell that to me; I knew it perfectly well. Pmlineditor  09:46, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
What is "DTTR"? —Mythdon [talk] [changes] 01:34, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Don't take it the wrong way, I think it is just a kind reminder:

Broken redirects

Hey, I've just noticed you recently imported some broken redirects. Would you mind fixing the problem? Cheers, --Mercy (talk) 08:24, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat

Hi, could you restore this please? I removed an iw to it on en and Collectian reverted me. Plus this page was useful. Could you simplyfy it please? Or maybe just redo it and do the simplyfying without restoring the history? And do the same for those other articles they deleted in September? And merge The Fox and the Hound the last good version with The Fox and the Hound (film) and move it back to the right name and then recreate The Fox and the Hound (movie) as a redirect? Thank you. 74.249.96.231 (talk) 19:35, 10 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

References

Do all references need to be third-party - can I not use official specifications (for example [1]? Thanks for your help. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 12:45, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

You can use official refs, but generally third party refs are preferred. Third party refs are generally more reliable. See WP:RS and WP:Verifiability for further details. You might check the corresponding enwp pages as well. Pmlineditor  12:48, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the references on Apple Inc. I created. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 12:47, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, that's ok... I think there are a lot of sources for Apple; I can help you if you wish. Pmlineditor  12:48, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry about all this mess - I have seen references like that before on en and thought they would be OK to use on simple. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 12:50, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Not really a mess... not much harm done. :) The refs are ok for a normal article, but not good enough for a GA. As this says, "Articles should be based upon reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." Regards, Pmlineditor  12:52, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, I'll use 3rd party references in future. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 12:54, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Comment I hope Apple's specs aren't wrong... Airplaneman talk 18:05, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I agree. But we must follow the rules. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 19:04, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've no problem with using Apple as a ref for say, the release dates, or, even features of a product. However, they cannot be accepted in say Reception sections and the like. Pmlineditor  08:17, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, thanks for your help. Liverpoolfan567 Send me a message 09:53, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
