Butting in

Hey Razorflame, I don't mind you butting in to help a user who asked for help on my talkpage. I find it helpful, since the user asking for help will get help quicker when I'm offline. Cheers, Lights (talk) § 23:53, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Comment on my first comment made to me

I think what Vector is asking you to do is wait until a user has made some edits before you welcome them. I could be wrong though... · Tygrrr... 02:07, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I just realized that comment is incredibly old... Sorry :-P · Tygrrr... 02:08, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

IamAR

I appreciate you trying to help, but could you please let the admins deal with this user? If an admin issues a warning or ultimatum, he or she should be the one to decide whether or not it has been fulfilled. In this particular case, perhaps Browne34 wanted the entire thing to be removed, not just the commentary. It is not up to you to decide whether what IamAR did is sufficient, okay? I am not upset with you in any way, just letting you know that you might not be helping out, even though you're trying to. I hope you understand. Thank you. · Tygrrr... 17:26, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was just letting him know that IamAR removed the content in question. I wasn't sure if the content he removed was sufficient or not. Sorry for trying to help though. I won't in the future. Razorflame 17:27, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I meant your reply to IamAR when he said no, and then saying thank you. Browne34 should have been the one to handle these responses. Again, I'm not upset, I just feel that you were involving yourself in a situation that really doesn't concern you. Also, since this particular user has a restriction to only talk with admins, it really is best that just admins deal with any issues involving him. Again, thank you for understanding. · Tygrrr... 17:34, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright. I will in the future. Razorflame 17:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reverting

why did you revert the change? --Gwib -(talk)- 17:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I didn't. I merely edited at the same time you did. It contained the same information that you added. Razorflame 17:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
As for that, I undid it because it was in the wrong place. I made a new section for it right after I reverted it. Razorflame 17:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You reverted the users edits, then added the website youself?.. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:58, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

no

as you can see here in en.wiki action is a Disambiguation page, but not here. cheers --vector ^_^ (talk) 17:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

But the other ones are disambiguation pages here, and are in the other languages. Razorflame 17:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
mmm we can change this in a Disambiguation too :) --vector ^_^ (talk) 17:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
If the pages exist on other wikis, no matter if they're a full article or just a disambig page, the interwiki links should be listed. I am going to put them back. · Tygrrr... 18:07, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for understanding Tygrrr. I automatically reverted the edits made by my bot because I knew that they had pages in the other Wikipedias. Razorflame 19:42, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

YAY!

I found out how you did that thing with your "nickname"! Lucky I'm good with HTML ^^. I owe it to you, because I wouldn't have thought you could do that, and I thought about how you did that for a few days. Cypher TC X § 21:21, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Eh? What are you talking about? Razorflame 16:58, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I wanted to know how you did that for some time, and I finally noticed it in my settings. I learn scripting/computing quickly, although your Wikipedia "tags" are different than what I'm used to (PHP maybe :P ?). It's loosely based on yours. Cypher TC X § 23:40, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think that...

... You should join my Music Project because you seem to be quite knowledgeable on some areas of this Broad subject, and I know that it needs another active user besides myself, user:Iamandrewrice doesn't seem to be too active in the project, despite my attempts to get him to do a bit of project work, but I guess he is busier with his own project. And also, I know that I could do with a hand from A more experienced user for general direction for tge project. You wouldn't have to do too much, just what you want, and there could be one of my special barnstars in it for you. Please accept, i desperatly need ht help. IuseR 21:30, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Do you think that I deserve a Barnstar yet for all of my hard work to the music pages of this website? I have created 7 new pages (With more still to come), created my own music project aswell as two completely new barnstars. I'm not ranting or anything. I just want to let people know that It is my goal to earn and be awrded one of my new barnstars for my contribs. to the music section of this site. So can you like give me a goal which I can meet where you think that that would be the required amount of work to earn one of my own Barnstars. Thanks

IuseR 21:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you deserve something, you'll get it in due time. I didn't get my first barnstar until 2 weeks after I started editing here. As for the music project, I still don't know. Razorflame 16:58, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I'll bare that in mind. You just do whatever witht he music project, it was just a thought, if you don't want to, then don't feel you should, i just thought the project needs a bit of help and you seem quite knowledgable in some areas of the subject, so just let me know either way, or just add yourself to the list  :-) I.R 20:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I will add myself to the list, but as for the userbox, I'll add it in due time. Razorflame 20:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikiprojects

Is there a page for displaying them all? Aside from tennis, and possibly football (or, soccer, if you will), I'd like to take myself to task on something particular. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 22:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

We are currently too small of a Wikipedia to have any Wikiprojects. Therefore, there are no Wikiprojects. If you would like some Wikiprojects, there is the Music Wikiproject, and the LGBT Wikiproject. Other than that, there are no other Wikiprojects.Razorflame 17:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Music and LGBT Proposed wikiprojects you mean --Bärliner 17:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I meant proposed.  :) Thanks for reminding :) Razorflame 17:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unsigned

Hey I caught you this time :P --Bärliner 17:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I usually do remember to sign my posts, but I guess I didn't that time :) Razorflame 17:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vich, Switzerland

Pester Gwib to make his hometown longer :) --Bärliner 17:18, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Either that, or I will be forced to make it longer myself. But for now, I think it is long enough :p Razorflame 17:19, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Consider me pestered, I'll do it. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh good! I didn't even have to post anything on your talk page ;) Razorflame 17:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Done, I even learnt some things I didn't know about it before. --Gwib -(talk)- 17:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Alright. Razorflame 17:31, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Record labels

If you are copying the list of record labels from English Wikipedia, then you should at least give a link to the source page, for licensing reasons. - Huji reply 21:05, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Will do. Razorflame 21:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay. - Huji reply 21:09, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wouldn't a music category be useful too, especially if the wikiproject goes live, and maybe category:companies too--Bärliner 21:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm just making the lists with the default category on them. If you feel like they should be in more categories than I'm putting them in, feel free to add them to the articles :) Razorflame 21:15, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You could add the existing category "Record labels" as you are copying the list over :)--Bärliner 21:19, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've made a central category (list of record labels) with the categories of Lists and Record labels in them. I hope you agree with me that that was the correct thing to do. Razorflame 22:16, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Moved to userpage

Do you like your Barnstar? lol I.Rosary 20:37, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is very interesting. I am supposed to be doing homework now, so I will do something about it after I finish my homework. Razorflame 20:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Cool! have fun with that homework stuff. I.Rosary 20:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:79.75.51.199

He/she created a page (uglifruit - now deleted) which was just jibberish. I don't know how I'll be able to show you any proof now that it's deleted. Sorry.

Terry (talk) 22:11, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's all right. Thanks for letting me know that. I am actually not an administrator, but I am still a good user here, so I hope you didn't mind me posting on your talk page. Razorflame 22:12, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

How to find article size

Hi and thanks for giving me info, I just wanted to ask how I can find the size of an article? Cheers! Adamd1008 (talk) 22:32, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Click on the history tab. The number given is the number of bytes an article is. Razorflame 22:33, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks!

to you also :) Oysterguitarist 01:05, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

blocked that one acouple of days ago. Oysterguitarist 02:06, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
All right. Block that 213 one? Razorflame 02:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can you give me the rest of the numbers, I don't know which one your talking about. Oysterguitarist 02:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
213. 192.74.14. Tor exit node. Razorflame 02:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've blocked it. Oysterguitarist 02:49, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the pointers...

....they make good sense. Happy editing. Baccyak4h (talk) 17:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit

Why my edits were vandalism?

First of all, your edits are vandalism because you keep on inserting them in the wrong place (here). Second, I believe your edits to Bono are vandalism. If you disagree, take it up on the talk page and explain to my why the edits aren't vandalism. Razorflame 20:53, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have explained to you on your talk page why your edits to Bono are vandalism.
Razorflame, I don't believe that his edits to your talk page were intentional vandalism. Please remember to try to assume good faith. · Tygrrr... 20:55, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry about that. I'm a bit ticked off in real life, and it's channeling over here. I will try to assume good faith in the future. Razorflame 20:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject User Warnings

Hey, you might want to look at this. Thanks. Lights (talk) § 02:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know about this. I've answered it on that talk page. Razorflame 17:10, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

images

Message for deletion If you were upset by an image it might be best not to say so in case the vandal notices and decides it would be fun to keep posting it. --Bärliner 17:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I'll go take that off. Razorflame 17:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not vandalism

this is not vandalism. That was a good-faith change by an IP user, and reverting is one thing; this warning is overly excessive. Maxim(talk) 20:17, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I had not read the English Wikipedia page on it. I therefore thought that the IP address was trying to fix an already fixed template. Razorflame 20:18, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Even that is absolutely not vandalism. Maxim(talk) 20:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Don't bite the newcomers :) Yes, I understood that the first time you stated it. There was absolutely no reason for you to have said it again. Razorflame 20:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
What "newcomer"--Bärliner 22:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I think there talking about 71.72.227.21. Oysterguitarist 23:04, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, I was referring to myself :), even though I'm not a newcomer :) Razorflame 15:15, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Oysterguitarist 22:40, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

re: archiving

If you want to archive some of the older topics, please feel free. Thanks, Werdan7T @ 19:23, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alright. I'll do that now. Razorflame 22:07, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Barnstar

moved to userpage.

Thanks. Don't be surprised if you see this disappear; I usually move them to my userpage and leave a note that I moved them to my userpage. Razorflame 22:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Nonsense

Nonsense? Hardly. First of all, its "Dr Pepper", not "Dr. Pepper" (notice: no period). Secondly, the facts on that page are completely wrong. I fixed them and tried to ad a redirect, but for some reason you reverted, calling my edit "nonsense".

What? 71.235.40.134 (talk) 21:10, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

First off, it's with a period, not without. Second off, you then blanked the page for Dr. Pepper, which is vandalism. Razorflame 21:12, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Creol beat me to it with the page move, which was the correct way for the user to handles the name, not a redirect --Bärliner 21:17, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Whoops? -- Creol(talk) 21:18, 18 January 2008 (UTC) ( :P )Reply

Thanks! 71.235.40.134 (talk) 21:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

User should have checked, found that we had Dr.Pepper, then amended it and moved it, not blanked etc.

Is this directed at me? That is what I did. I created the Dr Pepper page, then the redirect of Dr. Pepper to Dr Pepper, although I will admit I did not cite a source of the lack of a period, assuming the knowledge would carryover from the full English Wikipedia. 71.235.40.134 (talk) 21:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I must say that I am sorry about that. I've always thought that it was spelt with a period, instead of without. I am sorry for what I have done to you. Razorflame 23:02, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Empty cat

Although empty categories can be quick deleted, they shouldn't be deleted merely because of being empty. For example, Category:French musicians is a good category in the correct place. Even if it is not used right now (maybe it was in use previously) it will be used in future. So there is no point in deleting it now and recreating it later. I think this is why Barliner undid your QD on that page. Hope this helps. Cheers, - Huji reply 21:20, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also note, it took about 40 seconds to go find an article to fit that category and there are likely many others out there. How it got empty in the first place I have no idea.. -- Creol(talk) 21:22, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
It is a useful category, which compares, for example to "cat:English musicians". I am surprised it is empty, but certainly would be recreated, especially with th number of music articles being made, in and outside the proposed wikiproject.--Bärliner 21:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
