Game titles change

Thorpe, since you're creating a number of video game articles, I just want you to know that game titles are written in italics. You can see this on the English article for most games. I'd rather just tell you than follow you around setting everything in italics. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 18:32, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

OK, thanks. I'll bare that in mind. Thorpe 21:08, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Delete reason change

Hi. I try to always put a reason or 'why' into the {{delete}} thing, like this: {{delete|not encyclopedic}}. I often don't know the right way to say the reason, but anything is better than nothing. ;-)

Also, I think leaving the original invalid content in the page, and adding the {{delete}} to the top of the page, is the correct thing to do. I put the bad text back into MrMinit so that everyone can see it is inappropriate (at least, until one of the admins can get to deleting it). Shenme 20:14, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

OK, no worries. Thorpe 18:01, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

some advice change

Simple English Wikipedia is not another en:Wikipedia. Many of the processes and standards there do no need to apply here. I am redirecting Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion to Wikipedia:Requests for deletion until such time as there is a significant need for such a thing. Until then, please don't complicate things. -- Netoholic @ 21:54, 3 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image deletion change

Thorpe, I have deleted those images. Two things though. As it says on the page, list newer items at the top. Also, I'd consider that a fast deletion request. If you put it into other, I have to wait at least a week for it be deleted (although in this case, I won't). -- Ricky81682 (talk) 20:29, 20 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

OK, thanks. • Thorpe • 16:40, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Image uploads change

Please try not to upload images to this Wikipedia. Try to use only images from Wikimedia Commons, as we are currently trying to source all our images from there to make things easier for Wikipedia translators. Thanks, Archer7 17:43, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that, all yours are from commons, I thought my status bar would give the location on commons. Archer7 17:45, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's to make things easier for translators. When they're writing new articles for other wikis based on our versions, they can just stick that image link in there and forget it rather than mess around with it all. It also means we don't have to worry about copyrighted images over here, there's enough people watching for that on Commons. Archer7 17:44, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
