Archives Bot not Working

So I set my archives bot for 24h (a day) today, hoping that it would archive one of my talk messages, but it didn't. Why? Is it because it needs to be set for longer? I'm getting a bit tired of self-archiving. Maggie🌺 ^{talk edit} 23:17, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

@Magnolioideae I think there are two reasons.

• First, the bot seems to work once per day, at 05:00 UTC (so about six hours from now).
• Second, your talk page setting says "minthreadsleft=4". That means it will only archive if there are more than four discussions on the page.

I was gonna say that you have been finding instances of "pitch" very quickly and linking them to pitch(music). How are you finding them so fast? Also sorry for disturbing you but is it a no-no to make common-typo redirects (i.e. adress to address)? Some IP user thought it wasn't good.🪐 Haumeon the Adventurer 🪐 06:01, 14 August 2024 (UTC)

I used Special:WhatLinksHere/Pitch. Also, I have a script in User:VirusDontKill/common.js which changes the color of links if they go to disambiguation pages, redirects, etc. So once I get to the page, I can easily locate the link that needs to be changed. There are a huge number that link to New York. I was working on them a few weeks ago. Most should either be changed to New York (state) or New York City. Also if you want to add this script, you can add it at User:Haumeon/common.js. VirusDontKill (talk) 06:07, 14 August 2024 (UTC)

The script is from en:User:Anomie/linkclassifier.js so the documentation is at en:User:Anomie/linkclassifier. I don't know which disambiguation pages have the most links to them, but if you just browse through articles here, or click show any page, some of them will likely have disambiguation links. In my opinion, redirects with multiply typos might come up if someone searches for a different topic, and there are probably more useful things to do than creating a lot of them. But we'll see if other people respond on Simple Talk. VirusDontKill (talk) 06:16, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
