Asma Fawaz al-Assad (Arabic: أَسْمَاءُ ٱلْأَسَدِ, romanized: ʾAsmāʾ al-ʾAsad, Levantine pronunciation: [asˈmaː elˈasad]; née Akhras, Arabic: أَسْمَاءُ فَوَّازِ ٱلْأَخْرَسِ, romanized: ʾAsmāʾ Fawwāz al-ʾAḵras: [ˈasma fawˈwaːz elˈʔax.ras]; born 11 August 1975) was the First Lady of Syria from 2000 to 2024.

She was born and raised in London to Syrian parents. She is married to the 19th President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad.[1][2]
In December 2024, she reportedly fled Syria for Russia alongside her three children following the Fall of Damascus.[3]
