Daniel Larson

Daniel Robert Larson (born November 15, 1998), also known as "Danderson", is an American YouTuber, TikToker, and singer/songwriter who is known for his daily vlogs on social media, music, and campaign to become President of the United States. He has become heavily infamous online for many controversial actions, such as paedophilia allegations, his obsession with Grace VanderWaal, his usage of racial slurs, and meltdowns.

Early Life

Daniel was born in Lancaster, California on November 15, 1998, to parents Elisabeth Lee Shimer (1976 - 2024) and James Travis Larson (b. 1978). At around age 11, Daniel was taken away from his mother by Social Services due to neglect Daniel had allegedly faced at the hands of his mother, which both he and a later news report reaffirm, given the state's actions, it is likely that Daniel was truthful regarding his later claims of neglect. Due to this, He had to move to Colorado to live with his grandmother Nancy Shimer (1947 - 2019), who later served as Daniel's Legal Guardian to prevent him from being placed in Foster Care.

Daniel's teenage years were barred with difficulties as he struggled with behavioural issues & mental health disorders such as ADHD, autism & bipolar disorder, despite the challenges he faced, Daniel never gave up on his dreams of attending film school & pursuing a career in music or acting. In December 2012, Daniel appeared on a news segment from KWGN & showed him reflecting on his time at the Tennyson Center for Children in Denver, Colorado, this touching news segment showcased Daniel's inspiring determination to pursue his passions despite the challenging circumstances of his upbringing. Unfortunately, Daniel's life took a tragic turn with the passing of his grandmother due to complications of cancer, which Daniel later claimed it was because of his autism, the loss had a profound impact on him & he was subsequently placed in a state-run group home for disabled people, where he stayed for 2 years before moving between other disability homes & even experienced homelessness.

Internet Career

In early 2020, Daniel would start to gain traction on his TikTok account, @daniellarsonfans, where he would post his songs and make several announcements. At this time, Daniel already considered himself to be a model and celebrity, often saying that he's made record deals and announcing new albums, despite no evidence of this being shown or being revealed to be troll attempts. Beginning on July 14, 2020, he announced that he was going to run for president and many people began to ironically support him in the comment section. Soon, Daniel's popularity attracted internet trolls that noticed his strange behaviors and began taking advantage of him. Trolls would pose as fake talent agencies, record labels, celebrities, and management teams to take control over Daniel. As the year went on, this only got worse.

Around October 2020, the camera on Daniel's phone appeared to malfunction and his camera became foggier and blurrier. It was revealed years later that the cause of this was management telling Daniel to put tape over his camera and then remove it. This would disappear and reappear throughout the months up until 2021. Much of his fanbase joked about this and began to post memes in his comment section, dubbing these months at the "Fog era". Starting in 2021, Daniel would upload a video where he does jumping jacks for the singer, Blake Shelton as a tribute for Black Lives Matter.

He would continue to perform jumping jacks for other celebrities and movements, such as Grace VanderWaal and George Floyd. He also began to produce music around July 2021, onto YouTube and TikTok, with his first song titled Roaring Thunder. He mainly specializes in rap and ballad, such as in the songs Gang Life, SOUTHSIDE, Something More, etc. On May 6, 2021, Daniel announced that he would begin an audition on TikTok for an adult film. At 7 PM, he would post a live video of him showing off his genitals, and the daniellarsonfans account would be immediately suspended. He would later create a new TikTok account where he claimed that his account was actually hacked. Some say that he was manipulated to do this by a troll named Flexburger. In the middle of 2022, a man named Ivan (Better known online as Oxis, or Ox for short) would get in contact with Daniel and befriend him. Ivan would then help Daniel set up a Twitch account to do livestreams and get donations to help with Daniel's living situation. This would end after about a month in August when Ivan decided to set a $100 donation goal to prank Daniel. When the donation goal was reached, Ivan swapped a video of the news to a fake nuke warning video. Daniel fell for the prank and anxiously paced around his hotel room. Daniel would leave the room to tell the front desk of the supposed emergency, which resulted in him getting in trouble with the hotel and him cutting ties with Ivan. Daniel has not streamed on Twitch since the incident. On January 30, 2023, American YouTuber Turkey Tom would publish a forty-minute-long video covering Daniel's story. It is one of the most popular videos about Daniel on YouTube, giving him a lot of exposure. American YouTuber Papa Gut would make a video criticizing Turkey Tom's video for having misinformation. Daniel would also leave random comments on Turkey Tom's video. In a general response to people making YouTube documentaries about him, Daniel tells everyone to stop being stuck in the past.

Controversies

Pedophilia

On November 20, 2020, a troll going by the alias Flexburger would leak a Pinterest account that belonged to Daniel under the name "Hollywoodlars20". In one of his galleries named "Girl crushes", there are images of several young female celebrities, such as Grace VanderWaal and Darci Lynne Farmer (both were 16 at the time). He also had several other disturbing galleries, such as those covering masturbation and the age of consent in several states. Daniel would take a few months off of the internet before returning in early 2021 to respond to the allegations. In December, Daniel initially responded to the allegations on TikTok by confirming that he did own the account and had masturbated to pictures of the young women. However, some theorize that the video was scripted by his friends since later on, he would claim that the account wasn't his and that he didn't know what Pinterest was.

A day earlier, on November 19, Daniel was put into a Zoom room with trolls posing as his record label to confront him about the inappropriate images. They say that Daniel had reuploaded videos of young girls onto his YouTube account, though Daniel says that multiple of his social media accounts got hacked after giving his password to a fake record label called Fine Dining. One person on the call says that they called the police on him to be investigated, though what happened afterwards is unknown. Some have also pointed in the Zoom call and in chat that he had dueted with young children, though Daniel says that he had denied up to 400 collaborations. The trolls on the call had gotten screenshots from the Gmail account to show if he had any notifications from the Pinterest account, revealing that he had deleted one of the Pinterest notifications, confirming that the account belonged to him, though he says that it was actually a fake record deal that he had deleted.

He had also posted a video onto TikTok where he admits that he loves child pornography, though he had revealed that Fine Dining made up a fake audition where he had to say he liked the game Club Penguin since the abbreviation can be mistaken as child pornography. In 2021, Daniel would make a TikTok video where he gave a shout out to the infamous YouTuber and pedophile, EDP445 where he thinks that the allegations made against him are fake and that he was interested in collaborating with him in the future. Whether or not these are his actual beliefs or trolls made him say this are unknown. Much of his fanbase have heavily criticized Daniel for his pedophilia for young celebrities and conflicting and inconsistent excuses.

Sometime after May 6, 2021, Flexburger began to leak more private information about him after Daniel had declared war against him for leaking his Pinterest. He had also posed as multiple young girls from 13 to 17 where he would text with Daniel, where much of the discussion was on sex and masturbation. He had also talked about how he wants to preform sexual acts on Grace VanderWaal and Sky Brown. Other leaks would be uploaded, such as Daniel apologizing for masturbating to VanderWaal and saying that he would legalize pedophilia. Daniel would respond to the leaks by saying that the TikTok account would "go on lockdown" and would report Flexburger to the FBI.

Grace VanderWaal

Beginning on May 12, 2021, Daniel would begin showing an obsession with singer Grace VanderWaal. He would first post a video where he states that he would be collaborating with VanderWaal, which turned out to be false. He would continue to post disturbing videos online, such as one where he laying on the floor confessing his love for her and moaning in a sexual manner. This obsession was also seen in some of his early activity, such as the Pinterest leak and his debacle with Flexburger. He would also post multiple comments onto VanderWaal's TikTok posts and had believed that he was in contact with her family. This got to the point where he would go out in public and tell others that he was dating her.

On June 25, 2021, Daniel was manipulated into believing that Grace had suffered from a heart attack and was on the verge of dying, so he posted videos onto the website, Likee where he wanted to get in contact with the VanderWaal family to know about her condition. This eventually goes to the point where he has a meltdown where he hits himself and threatens to commit suicide if they don't contact him. He eventually made a live stream on YouTube where he believes that Grace had died along with her father, David VanderWaal. He believes that she died from a heart attack and decided to go off of life support. He admits and apologizes for sexting with minors and sending pictures of his penis to her. He also says that he was talking with her and that Grace wanted him to carry out her legacy. However, he eventually figured out that she hadn't died and would continue to make posts about her, believing that they were dating and breaking up.

Eventually, Daniel begins contacting Grace's mother, Tina VanderWaal where he still believes that they're dating. Tina would respond by telling him to stop making claims about them dating and to stop harassing her because it's scaring the whole family. She tells him that he's delusional and should receive mental care. She says that she's contacted the authorities and that because of Daniel's actions, Grace has been getting harassed online by his trolls. Daniel responded by saying that he would kill himself. Tina would respond once again on a YouTube live stream of Daniel's, where she told him to stop believing that he's in contact with her other than the previous private DM. She says that he hasn't listened to her and that he needs to stop being gullible to trolls. He would respond to the comment by saying that he wants to help them and fix the mistakes and misunderstandings he's made to them.

Meltdowns

Daniel has had a history of anger issues and extreme meltdowns due to his mental disabilities and trolling attempts. One such instance was in 2021 when he was provided with an apartment he would live in and would be checked up on by his caretakers. However, Daniel would soon post a video where he shows that he broke the TV and had punched multiple holes in the walls. He said that it was the result of harassment and "being told what to do". Some people have said that a troll is telling him to make several threats so that he would lose his housing.

He has been well known to cause physical damage to several items, mainly known for punching holes in the walls and breaking windows several times. Much of this behavior can be seen in the October 16th incident, where Daniel and another person began to argue about the address getting leaked online and wanting to get in contact with his case manager, eventually leading to Daniel running to the second floor, where he started hitting himself and kicking walls and doors. Daniel would then tear up and argue with everyone in the house, saying they're attacking them for his popularity. The police eventually showed up to the house and questioned Daniel about the situation. He was kicked out of the house by the authorities and was fined $1,000 for damages.

Daniel has also been known to be physically violent towards others, making threats to them and almost hitting them. Some of these freakouts are mainly vented towards Bob Proctor. One such incident occurred on a TikTok live stream on December 10, 2022, where he began to have a breakdown as he believed that a motel, he was staying in was threatening to kill him because he had broken several items in one of the rooms. He would begin hitting himself to the point where his nose started to bleed. Bob asked him to get out of the car and both of them would accuse each other of assaulting the other. Bob would attempt to call the police before Daniel begins to hit him. Eventually, Daniel would be transported to the hospital, and he would be heavily chastised by the fanbase for his assault and violence towards Bob.

One of his biggest meltdowns occurred on November 10, 2023, when Daniel was allegedly being followed by a group of trolls to different locations and would be subsequently banned from said locations. Eventually, Daniel headed into a Panera Bread establishment, believing he went in there to avoid a drive-by shooting. The circumstances leading up to the meltdown are unknown, but a bystander recorded the incident, where Daniel instigated two employees and threw tables in their direction. The employees said that they'll press charges on him for assaulting them, leading to Daniel screaming and punching himself, eventually getting up and almost hitting the two employees. After sitting back down, Daniel continued yelling and even said the N-word.

Daniel would then create a Discord call, in which he continued arguing with the employees. He says that he flipped the table in order to protect himself from the employees. He stated his intentions to leak the footage to news outlets and attempts to persuades those on the Discord call to leak it. Police eventually arrive on the scene and theorize that Daniel might be using drugs or alcohol since his pupils appear to be dilated, though Daniel says he only has dry eyes. Daniel tries to excuse his behavior, though the police didn't seem to fall for it. He would eventually be sent to the hospital with an injured knee and a bloody nose from hitting himself.

On December 10, 2023, Daniel had arguably his worst meltdown yet at an Olive Garden in Denver, Colorado, where he tried to get a reservation with Grace VanderWaal. He also accused the manager of doxing him and leaking nudes of him before being kicked out, as he wasn't allowed to film inside. However, he came back, this time demanding for a table for eight people, cursing out the staff when confronted by them, attempting to perform a citizen's arrest on everyone inside, and pulling the fire alarm, having been manipulated by the trolls in the chat.

Afterwards, a police officer gave Daniel a trespass notice for Olive Garden for a year as well as a criminal charge for pulling the fire alarm. Additionally, Daniel's court date for this incident is on February 14, 2024, at Jefferson County.

Racism and antisemitism

Daniel has an infamous reputation of using the N-word on multiple occasions, usually when he's angry or having a meltdown. While there's been moments where Daniel has been trolled into saying it, such as when he said the name "Nick Gurr", there have been instances where he has used the word in his own volition.

One such instance occurred on May 13, 2022, where Daniel had charged a phone outside of a stranger's house without their permission since he was homeless at the time. The owner found Daniel refusing to leave, so he proceeded to call the police while he streamed it live on YouTube. Daniel seemed unresponsive at first, until the owner proceeded to yell at him to leave and threatening to using force. Daniel warned him not to get closer until he eventually called him the N-word. Daniel would eventually leave after many threats from the owner. When people pointed out his racism in the comment section, he said that he used it for self defense, though he was criticized for this even further.

There have also been several instances of Daniel making anti-Semitic statements. He's mainly targeted someone named Goldberg Shacklestein, who he thinks is intent on starting a new world order and kidnapping him with the Jewish mafia. In reality, Shacklestein was a persona created by a troll named Samantha and the original drawing is a Jewish caricature created by the alt-right artist, Nick Bougas.

Dine and Dashes

Sometime after Daniel became homeless around September of 2022, he's been known to do dine and dashes at many restaurants, where he eats a meal and leaves before he can pay the bill. In many instances, he's usually kicked out of and banned by the restaurants around Denver for being unable and refusing to pay the bill. He'll sometimes post the bill onto TikTok so that someone online can pay for the food, though whether or not someone actually did pay is skeptical. However, there have been a few instances where Daniel has been charged or even arrested for dine and dashing. One example happened on January 19, 2023, at The Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim, where the manager refused Daniel to leave until he paid the $100 bill. He attempted to post the bill online; however he was arrested before the bill could be paid. He has said that because he views himself as a celebrity, he should deserve free meals and that if they aren't free, he will give the restaurant a bad rating.

Disneyland Scabies incident

On January 17, 2023, Daniel went to visit Disneyland in Anaheim and would hang around the Downtown Disney area, vlogging his time on TikTok. However, two other visitors were members of a Daniel Larson Discord server, where people notified them that Daniel was present at the theme park. The two would hang with Daniel until they eventually noticed that he contracted scabies after wearing the same clothes everyday and not having access to sanitary conditions. He was seen scratching his rashes throughout the day, which only made them worse due to his dirty fingernails. Anaheim residents reported him to social media, warning others about the spread of scabies and his infamous reputation online. The itching got so severe to the point where mites started to appear out of his skin and had started to bleed from the scratching. He eventually went to the hospital, where he received a shot of Ivermectin, and his symptoms began to die down.

Dog Adoption

On July 9, 2023, Daniel had adopted a German Shepard (which he named Music) from the Longmont Humane Society. Many fans have raised concern over this decision as many cite his violent tendencies and inability to take care of himself. Daniel also lied on the adoption papers, claiming that he was living in an RV. The Longmont Humane Society eventually made a post on Facebook about the adoption. They've said that they would be working with law enforcement in order to investigate the matter. Daniel had said the reason why he adopted her was for her to be his security dog, even though Music is untrained. He has also been criticized for misgendering her as a he, which many saw as a lack of awareness. This was evident when Daniel said he feeds Music nachos and water from McDonald's, which many criticized him for being an unhealthy diet.

Many people online began to travel to Colorado in order to retrieve Music from Daniel's care. Eventually, a group called Ceel Team Six traveled to Colorado where Daniel was at a Walmart where they tricked him into thinking that they were going to take care of her by letting her into the car. They eventually got her to another living space and showed videos and photos that Music was in good care before planning to return her to the Longmont Humane Society. After this occurred, Daniel had a mental breakdown and destroyed parts of the establishment before being put into police custody. Police bodycam footage of this incident would be released several months later on February 28, 2024. Daniel had became heavily concerned about Music and asked his fanbase to get her back. He would continue to make several YouTube posts where he threatens Bob Proctor to tell the community about Music or he'll kill him and threatens to blow up the White House.

Daniel & the Law

As of now, Daniel has been to jail 7 times, 4 for being a fugitive of justice after repeatedly not attending court, 2 for assault, one of which being to his own mother, and 1 time for making terroristic threats against the government.

2017

On November 6th, 2017, Daniel was arrested for 3rd degree assault after getting into a physical altercation with his wheelchair bound mother, which ended up with him being sent to jail for 44-45 days. It is unknown what caused this situation, however, Daniel claims that it was aggravated after his mother allegedly cornered him, causing him to push her to the side. On this day, Daniel also received charges for instances of property damage and criminal mischief, although what happened to cause these charges is unknown and will most likely stay unknown.

2020

In 2020, Daniel was reported to the FBI following the leaking of his Pinterest account in November. His Pinterest account contained several saved pictures of children, as well as a map of the age of consent in the United States. Several TikTok users, most notably The Delegation Podcast, were under the assumption that Daniel was under the possession of illegal images of minors, which resulted in him being reported to the FBI as a result. These reports sparked the first Dark Age, where Daniel left the internet for 3 1/2 months, coming back to TikTok in March of 2021. While it is unclear what truly happened, and what the legal proceedings were, Daniel claimed on several occasions that he was investigated by FBI, and due to this, he was unable to show his face until further notice, and at a later date, claimed he was "cleared".

2021

On August 13th, 2021, Daniel was charged with destruction of property for smashing the window of a car. Due to this, Daniel was summoned to court. He failed to appear four separate times, and as a result had $350 worth of fees imposed on him via bond, bond forfeiture, and warrant fees. $100 worth of these have been paid, leaving $250 due. On August 29th, 2022, Daniel's destruction of property charge was dismissed.

2022

On May 13th, 2022, Daniel was charged with petty theft, based on the location of the violation: "500 16TH ST #120". It appears to be the location of a Hard Rock Café, suggesting it was a target of one of Daniel's dine and dashes.

On June 9th, 2022, a criminal mischief case was opened against Daniel. After failing to appear once, the warrant was executed when he was arrested on October 16th. Daniel was appointed a public defender on October 25th with his "plea and setting hearing" on November 28th.

On August 4th, 2022, Daniel uploaded a video announcing that he had gotten all of his warrants taken care of by "merging it all into one case", saying that it should all be cleared up within the month. While its validity is unclear, it is most likely that his cases were merged into one individual case due to Daniel repeatedly not showing up for them when ordered to.

On October 16th, 2022, a new case was opened for Daniel for destruction of property. The details of this are unknown, and it is unclear as to what happened to cause this. Daniel failed to appear on December 20th, 2022, and several other times after that. Eventually, his warrant was cancelled on June 21, 2023.

2023

On January 19th, 2023, Daniel was arrested for attempting to dine and dash at a Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim, California. Daniel was charged with "defrauding an innkeeper" and received a $950 fine.

On May 15th, 2023, Daniel posted that overnight he was given a citation for sleeping in a MTA subway station. He said that it was a $100 fine, and posted a video that briefly shows the ticket on his TikTok account.

On July 11th, 2023, Daniel walked into a local Walmart in a fit of rage after having the dog he adopted, Music, rescued from him. He proceeded to destroy several stands of merchandise, as well as attempting to hijack a bus full of elderly people, smashing the leash he'd bought earlier into the window. This ended up in Daniel being pinned to the floor by several police officers while he cried hysterically about Music being "dognapped."

In retellings of this incident, Daniel claims to have been illegally arrested and placed into police custody unfairly.

On July 11th, 2023, the same day as the 7/11 Incident, Daniel livestreamed an interaction he had with EMTs after calling 911 multiple times. While he was in the ambulance a police officer was able to charge him $500 for damages to a wall at the School of Mines. Daniel quickly admitted to his crimes claiming he damaged the wall to make sure he was heard, that "this was serious".

On September 14th, 2023, Daniel announced he would be appearing in court the following day in a YouTube short and several community posts. This was an arraignment for two misdemeanors at the Jefferson County Court in Golden, Colorado to which he turned up late. It is uncertain what exactly the charges were but he claimed that the maximum sentence was two years in jail. Daniel would plead not guilty, likely to buy him some time and hope for a good plea bargain. His next appearance in court would be set as October 31st, 2023, for a pre-trial conference.

After the arraignment, Daniel was again interviewed by Dylan. Daniel was asked several questions regarding Grace Vanderwaal, the trolls, leaked nudes and dating sites. In another video, Dylan also presented Daniel with some texts regarding Grace and Phi Kappa Tau. Daniel appeared troubled by these texts and proceeded to ask permission to take a photo of Dylan's phone. He soon after posted the image to YouTube through several community posts. There would later be a pre court interview uploaded by Dylan's friend, baristamuffin64.

On October 3rd, 2023, Daniel was taken into custody at the Jefferson County Detention Facility in Golden, Colorado, for missing his court date the day prior. A few hours later however, he was later released through means of being bonded out. Little is known about this arrest.

2024

Daniel had a warrant issued for his arrest for being a fugitive of justice on January 23, 2024. He would later be arrested on February 3 and booked into the Arapahoe County Jail with a bond of $20,000 after he failed to show up to court. The Jail Arc would commence, and he would remain in jail for four weeks. On February 14, he was transferred to the Boulder County Jail and his bond was lowered to $5,000. He was released on March 1, 2024 after a court hearing.

Daniel would be arrested again for a warrant for Fugitive of Justice. He was booked into the Broomfield County Detention Center, and was held at a $1,000 bond. He was released three days later after a court hearing, with his probation reinstated.

Daniel would be arrested for the fourth time this year, again, for fugitive of justice. This was caused by missing court on March 27, 2024, despite showing up very late. He was arrested on the bus, and booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility, and was held at a bond of $1,500 before being released the next day.

Daniel had been charged with seven counts of terroristic threats, carrying a maximum sentence of 65 years & a fine of $1,750,000, all of which were investigated by Daniel MacDougall starting in the summer of 2023. He was booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility, and was ineligible for bail, possibly indicating felony charges. As the charges were more severe than the previous, this commenced the Second Jail Arc. The charges were revealed later, and he was transferred to FCI Englewood the next month, where he has institutionalized since July 19 after being found incompetent to stand trial. He was transferred out of FCI Englewood on December 10, 2024.
