the national airline of Indonesia, founded in 1947 (as KLM Interinsulair Bedrijf), named after the garuda in the Indonesian national emblem; headquartered at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport

PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IDXGIAA), known as Garuda Indonesia, is the flag carrier of Indonesia.[3] It is named after the mythical giant bird Garuda of Hinduism and Buddhist mythology. Garuda Indonesia is based in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, near Jakarta.
