Mo Farah

Sir Mohamed "Mo" Muktar Jama Farah, CBE, OLY (born 23 March 1983) is a British middle and long-distance runner who holds the European record in the 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres.

Farah was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. He spent his early childhood living in Somaliland and Djibouti.[1] He moved to England when he was eight years old. He lives in both London and Portland, Oregon, United States.

In the 2012 Olympics he won gold in the 10,000 metres and the 5,000 metres. In the 2011 World Championships, he won gold in the 5,000 meters and silver in the 10,000 meters.[2] He won the 5,000 m and 10,000 m again at the World Championship in Moscow.
