Philippine Standard Time

Philippine Standard Time (PST; Filipino: Pamantayang Oras ng Pilipinas) is the time zone used in the Philippines. It is 8 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8). The time zone is the same all year round because the Philippines does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

The Clock Tower of Manila City Hall used to be the main way people in the Philippines set their clocks before the country got an atomic clock in 2012. These clock towers help people tell the time and act as landmarks.

The Philippines is located between 116°53′ and 126°34′ east of the Prime Meridian and is in the UTC+08:00 time zone. Philippine Standard Time is managed by PAGASA. The Philippines has the same time zone as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Western Australia, Brunei, parts of Russia, Indonesia, and most of Mongolia.
