Rectification

change

@Ferien: Hello pal! Could you please rectify the error in the citation of the references in this article? I don't know why people modify the format of reference links I had added. Haoreima (talk) 10:37, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Haoreima:   Done. PotsdamLamb tried to fix the reference duplication but he didn't fix it properly, and so I've reverted it. --Ferien (talk) 10:43, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@PotsdamLamb: See what have you done here? For this, I was asking Ferien for help last time! Haoreima (talk) 17:00, 29 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Haoreima This was over a month ago. If you put in references please use the citation creator built into the visual editor and fill out all the fields and do not duplicate the reference names or the full reference with a different name. If you are going to use the same reference then you can just use the ref name. I can look back at this and many others where that was the case where there are many references listed like that or extra words or end with a .;: which all causes errors. @Haoreima This is one example of whomever entered the reference. The reference needs to be one reference between the ref and the </ref></nowiki> tags.
<ref name="Masterpieces of Indian Literature: Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi ... - Google Books" />|spouse=[[Moirang Thoibi]]<ref name="Social Welfare - Google Books" />|occupation=Leiloi Hanchapa (Leiroi Hanjaba) (Floriculture department minister)|relatives=[[Khamnu]]|religion=[[Meitei religion]] ([[Sanamahism]])|origin=[[Khuman kingdom]]|home=[[Ancient Moirang]]<ref name="Ecology, Myth, and Mystery: Contemporary Poetry in English from Northeast India - N. The multiple arguments in this cause the issues you are seeing. There should only be one title, one access date one date (when the work was published) the url of the work, the archive url, the archive date, etc. As you can see in the above example, it is one run on reference which needs to be split up into different refs and named. I can fix this but it will take time to do so. I need to break apart all of the references and get them set up correctly so they go on correctly and the issue gets resolved. This is not something I can do via mobile and these references are a giant mess and right now they are what is called a bare reference which means it’s just a URL. I hope that helps you understand what I need to do. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? (Pronouns: He, him, his) 18:16, 29 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Simplification

change

To @Haoreima: or anyone else who knows the original:

"Ultimate or fullness" is iffy. "Fullness" is good and simple but to simplify "ultimate," we have to know if it means "ultimate" as in "the final" or as in "the best." In English, "ultimate" means a bit like "it's the last because it's the best." Darkfrog24 (talk) 12:49, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Darkfrog24: In Meitei language, ultimate means both "the final" as well as "the best". Like English, Meitei terms are also versatile. Instead of fullness, I suggest "perfect".--Haoreima (talk) 17:13, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Haoreima: When Nongban "claimed the place as his father's place," did you mean "He claimed (lied) that they were on his father's land" or claimed as in "He said 'this is my father's land now; I am claiming (taking possession of) it for him"? Another one: "He wept because he had such clothes" or "He wept because he had no such clothes"? Darkfrog24 (talk) 02:26, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Darkfrog24 Hello! Nongbam Nongban was telling a lie. Weeping is because of not having such clothes before. Please don't mind, I want to tell you something. I saw some of your edits in simplification summed up the stories at bulk that important parts are getting missed. And another more important thing is that some of your simplification edits turn the meaning into contrast. As of now, I am little busy in English WikiBooks. So, some days later, I can rectify the errors. Hope you understand me. Thanks! --Haoreima (talk) 04:30, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes, thank you. That's exactly the kind of thing I wanted to know. I am simultaneously trying to prep this article for inclusion in enwiki. Darkfrog24 (talk) 12:10, 25 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
