...what does that mean? Isis 21:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Welcome!
changeHello, Isis, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.
Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.
If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.
Good luck and happy editing!
A note about your created articles: I suggest that you read the manual of style before you make any more articles. There are specific bits of formatting that Wikipedia uses that your articles do not have (e.g. interwiki links and category/ies). Let me know if I can be of any help. Thanks. · Tygartl1·talk·
- Okay. Thanks for telling me.Isis 20:45, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Delete question
changeI have a question. Can you nominate pages for deletion on simple english? Isis 20:03, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, you can nominate pages for deletion on simple English. Type Reason. It looks like this:
If you think this page should not be deleted, please say why on this page's talk page. Please do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself.
Administrators, remember to check what links here, the page history (last edit), and the page log, before deletion- You may find more templates at Wikipedia: templates. Coffsneeze 20:12, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Category question
changeAnother question: is there any specific way that you're suposed to find categories for an article? Isis 21:59, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- The correct answer would be "memorize all the possible categories (or atleast keep a list handy)" but since that is never going to happen, one good way is to look at similar articles for ideas where to put it. If it is a biographic article, my userpage has info on categorising it. When totally lost for a category to put it in, leaving it blank and asking for help is probably the best option. The template Uncat will list it with other articles that are in need of categories. -- Creol(talk) 03:55, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Other questions
changeIt is often not a good idea to ask questions on your own talk page. Most people do not check other users talk pages often enough to notice the questions. It is best to ask them at Simple Talk or ask another user on their talk page. Most of the Admins and regular users should have the simple talk page on their watch list so any questions there get notice a lost faster than most other places and the notice about new messages will get a users attention the next time the go to any page.-- Creol(talk) 03:55, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
I know, but I put as the edit summary I put "Question" so anyone who reads the "new changes" page will know I have a question. It didn't feel quite right putting random things on other people's talk pages. Isis 20:55, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Or, you may go to the English Wikipedia's reference desk. You may ask your questions there. 69.218.226.7 22:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
External Links and References
changeOn the Simple Talk page, wikipedians decide to use 'other websites' because it is simpler. And in my opinion, 'references' can be translated to 'sources'.Coffsneeze 21:41, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I briefly skimmed through a discussion about that...didn't realize it. sorry! Isis 21:43, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

memo (actually this is such a bad title *heh*)
changeThank you about welcoming new users into the simplewiki, but I'd advise you to first look if they'll stay here cause many people tend to create usernames and then leave the simplewiki like after only one day. So you can continue on welcoming in users, but first wait and see if they would stay here. thanx:) --§ Alastor Moody (T + C) 00:28, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree. I was only welcoming users with blue-linked contributions, but I guess I should look at the list first. Isis 01:15, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
hiii isis are u Egyptian, if u are i wish u can help in arabic wikipedia ?? --Mmustafa 12:08, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for the help at Corn Pops
changeThank you for helping at Corn Pops article that was made this morning. I had cleaned up a vandal's work and then got up for a drink of water. You had filled it in and added references. Thank you! --DizFreak 16:45, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I fix articles like that whenever I find them. Isis 18:36, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Salamanders
changeHello Isis. We had an edit conflict earlier. Both of us tried to edit Hellbender. I have copyedited this from en; I am done simplifying for now. If you have the time, you might also want to take a look at Fire Salamander and Salamander. All the best. --Eptalon 22:31, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Really? No idea. I realized that it was copied from English Wikipedia, but didn't know that anyone was working on simplifying it. Isis 22:36, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Your change on that article says "make that ism". However, you vandalized the page by saying "she didn't have any!". Look on the history page and you will see what I mean. 69.216.16.151 20:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- You're right, but I really don't know what happened there. I noticed that the last editor of the article changed "Jane Austen" to "Jane busten" after I had made the first edit, so I fixed that in my second edit, but I didn't touch anything else. Maybe it was a bug. But I certainly didn't mean to do that! Isis§ (talk) 21:05, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Video Relay Service
changeI deleted the information on TTY for two reasons. First, the Video Relay is a replacement so I felt the information on the TTY belonged in the TTY article. Second, the person on the other end does not need a TTY. One can use basic computer programs or dial a voice relay service which translates TTY conversations to the hearing party on the other end. If you can think of any more information, just let me know. I would be more than willing to work on this article with you.--DizFreak 19:37, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- You're right. One's definition should not be in the other's article. Should the article be moved to the title "Video relay service"? I've heard it called "video relay system" and "video relay service". Isis 22:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
The table
changeI like the table on your userpage, so similiar to mine :) --'Choos'nink TALK 15:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Pregnancy image
change- This diff] is fine, but um... Wikipedia is not censored, so the other image had not problem, in fact, it added more detail. Just to let you know :^)---'Choos'nink TALK 02:23, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Your signature
changeI noticed that you have a signature subpage. Nice sig, but may I ask if you are still using it? Do you know that you can directly make a signature like that? Follow me:
- 1.Go to here.
- 2.See the "nickname"? Click on the "raw signature" button.
- 3.Type your signature source code out.
- 4.Save the changes.
You're done! If you need help, let me know. Cheers!-- Tdxiang 03:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Signature
changeThe source code of your signature is like this:
<font color="green"><font face="Papyrus">Isis<font color="sky blue">§<font color="black">(<font color="red"><b>talk<font color="black">) </font face> </b> <font color="black">

That will be accepted by it. (Creol using an example of the sig of) Isis§(talk) 02:32, 19 June 2007 (UTC) Hope that helps-- Creol(talk) 02:34, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Re:Sailor moon
changeHello Isis
In my opinion, this link is spam because The oracle isn't an official Sailor Moon page, in fact, is a personal webpage. That shouldn't be well known (when i saw the web, there was only onr people more in the web :P) greentings :)

changeThanks for reverting and warning that vandal! You're doing a good job :D
Protection
changeI have semi-protected your page, as requested. Billz (Talk) 21:35, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I created the page since it was on Special:Wantedpages. I basically took the same article from the English Wikipedia. Nishkid64 (talk) 23:23, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
My signature
changeI know :(. I don't know how to fix it, though. I just leave it at that. --'Choos'nink TALK 19:36, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Userboxes into templates
changeCould you give me an example so I can understand what you mean better? Panda Bear 04:04, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Warning users
changePlease can you let the person who reverted the edit warn the user to avoid confusion? For example, I reverted 86.135.9.111's changes to Wikipedia:Cleanup, but got the "Edit conflict" message when I warned him because you had done the same. It just helps to make sure every vandal is warned once. Thanks. Billz (Talk) 19:37, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Shortest pages
changeOne thing to take into consideration when updating the shortest pages lists for Wikipedia:Recentchanges is to exclude articles tagged as dictionary definitions or Disambig pages. Disambig pages are likely to never get expanded and most likely never need it if they are well written. They can still be fairly small and complete at the same time. DicDef articles will all likely be deleted as soon as the wiktionary article is done. Most of them will never be full articles and keeping a space for them on the list is just a waste. These two types of articles are not included in the list of smallest article mainly because there is no real reason to expand them here. There may be articles tagged as dicdef which can be expanded, and these would be exceptions, but for the most part, if the entire subject of the article could be explained in a solely dictionary fashion, it is not encyclopedic.-- Creol(talk) 06:41, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
changeThanks for creating the articles I hoped to start :) --Choosnink TALK 02:08, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
