For all the hard work you've done in the last 4 hours on your first day here, I award you my Barnstar! -- America†alk 05:46, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
I just have to get this off my chest: I think that you have been an excellent contributor to the Simple English Wikipedia so far, and I believe that you are an excellent editor and we could really benefit from your point of view here on the Simple English Wikipedia. I see that you have already started learning about the different quirks about the Simple English Wikipedia and I must say that I am completely amazed at how quickly you have adapted to our Wikipedia. So this is for you:
Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!
For exploding onto the Simple English Wikipedia scene with your guns firing, I hereby award you this barnstar! Razorflame 22:18, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

I much admit, I am a bit amazed my all this. When I started on the English Wikipedia just a few months ago, I believe I was just an annoying user who asked a million questions. And all I really ever did there was change and add to my userpage - I had not yet learned how to edit. I nearly decided to completely slide away from editing on Wikipedia, for it was very boring.
Then Andrew from NC posted somewhere on EN:WP about a new "Wikiproject Christianity" he had started on ‘’Simple’’. Out of curiosity I checked it out. I decided to join it, so I created an account under the username "America Needs Jesus" (that was my user name there at the time). Some editors here did not like my username and asked me to change. I told them that I was allowed to keep it on EN:WP, but they still persisted.
I had done a little overview of this Wikipedia and I liked it. I had even already started a few articles (something I could never do on EN). All my life, I've felt like such a bother, so I really wanted to avoid doing that here. I decided to change it for them. I wanted my username to have something to with my country, America. I don't why, but "American Eagle" came to mind. I checked it, and it was free. They then changed it for me, and since then, I use American Eagle on pretty much any site I create an account on (including changing my username on EN to it).
Much to my amazement, I asked more questions here than I did starting out on EN! (Special thanks to all who answered my questions.) I now believe that if I had not had all those questions answered for me, and for the understanding and helpfulness of editors here, I would never be the editor I have learned to be. I had made so many mistakes starting out, such as changing all British to American English, and posted a SPAM message on tons of user’s talk pages (oh wait, what am I doing now?!), but believe I have learned my lesson.
I'm really not sure why I wrote out an essay on this thank you message, I guess I just felt like it. I especially want to thank those who nominated me, but I am so grateful for each and every one of you who gave your trust to me in this way, I will not abuse it. I say it again, Thank you. -- America†alk 18:10, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
