| Part of the Israel–Hamas war – On 7 October 2023, Israel was in invaded by paramilitaries in the Gaza Strip. The paramilitaries were Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, PRC, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP). The invasion was codenamed Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. While the invasion only lasted less than 48 hours, the groups captured and occupied several Israeli military bases and kibbutz. The Qassam Brigades also launched ground assaults the larger Israeli cities of Sderot, Ofakim, Netivot, and Rahat.[5][6][7][8] | ||

During the invasion, the paramilitaries took control of the villages of Kozinka, Gora-Podol, and Glotovo and fighting took place in multiple other surrounding localities.
