Welcome change

Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need help. Welcoming IPs change

Long experience has taught us that it is not such a good idea to welcome IPs formally. Most are either incompetent or vandals, and we think it best to see what the evidence is before welcoming them. It's a "wait and see" tactic. That's not an instruction or a rule: just a piece of advice. Macdonald-ross (talk) 11:27, 17 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Macdonald-ross: Thanks for advice. I usually welcome when I patrol edits in recent change and found it constructive. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:34, 17 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Closing RFDs change

If you're going to close RFDs, please make sure to do all the steps. You missed a one and got one wrong, but I just fixed it. See what I did for more info. Cheers! --Auntof6 (talk) 00:05, 27 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: Thanks for pointing that out and fixing, I'll remember that for future. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 02:21, 27 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Infobox cleanup change

Hi, 1997kB. Thanks for the cleanup you're doing. Do you know how many changes you're going to be doing? If you're doing more than about 100 at a time, we ask that you get the flood flag so that your changes don't flood recent changes. Will you be doing that many? --Auntof6 (talk) 08:20, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey, @Auntof6: Yeah it might pass 100. Btw I am not doing them so fast, in how much time those 100 changes allowed? ‐‐1997kB (talk) 08:23, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
It looks more than fast enough to me: several per minute. It has more to do with how much it's interfering with patrolling recent changes. If you'd like the flood flag, here is the procedure:
  • Specify exactly what you will be doing while you have the flag, and how long you want it.
  • Admin gives you the flag. They can either set an expiration time or ask that you notify them when you're done so they can remove it at that time.
  • Log off and back on for the flag to take effect
  • Work only on the specified task(s) while you have the flag. No other edits should be done.
  • When you're done and the admin removes the flag, or when the flag expires, log off and back on.
Any questions? --Auntof6 (talk) 08:35, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6: Okay, Then please grant the flooder flag, I'll only do clean-up and will ask admin to be removed when I'm done. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 08:42, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
What cleanup, exactly? (We're supposed to be specific.) Can you give me an idea how long you might need it? I'm not sure how much longer I'll be online tonight. Alternatively, I could set it to expire after one hour, three hours, or a day. You just wouldn't be able to do anything else until it expires or an admin removes it. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:50, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6: Clean-up of pages using template {{Infobox single}} and grant me for a day, if you will not be on, I'll ask another admin on IRC to remove it. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 08:55, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done. Remember to log off and back on for it to take effect. Thanks again for doing the cleanup! --Auntof6 (talk) 08:58, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 09:00, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

I noticed that you've done a couple of changes for articles that don't use the single infobox. If you're finished with the task you wanted the flood flag for, I can remove it. Otherwise, please don't make other changes until the flag is removed. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:22, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Auntof6: Yes please, remove it. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 10:26, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done. Please log off and back on. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:28, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Nikki Lilly change

Sources can be found on Google by searching Nikki Lilly. She has appeared on Junior Bake Off on TV. She has appeared on TV, magazines, etc. --2A00:23C5:F208:D700:4D8A:799B:4E24:18A5 (talk) 13:03, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

In that case please add them in article. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 13:04, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Let me say one thing. The trigger filter won't let me add them, they think it is spam, when they are reliable sources. Only you can! --2A00:23C5:F208:D700:4D8A:799B:4E24:18A5 (talk) 13:06, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
As I can see there's no filter prevented you to add any links. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 13:08, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
