hi

Flower regions change

You don't have to tell me what to do. Technical terms in science are often necessary, but are kept to a minimum in Simple. Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:48, 5 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

July 2015 change

Hello, Aliwal2012! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Cape Flower Region". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! --Auntof6 (talk) 19:14, 5 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Readership change

Hi Aliwal2012. Just a heads-up, very short new articles consisting of one or two lines (called sub-stubs by some) run the risk of being deleted due to not having enough information to adequately describe the subject. We have a different readership than Enwiki which includes children and those new to the English language. So more information may be needed at times to explain the subject to readers. Also, articles here should show why they are notable. The article you started, HMS Birkenhead, arguably claimed notability due to the number of lives lost. But, the ship is famous (see the improvements) for another reason. Here, source citations are used to show (or prove) notability beyond just claiming it. You might want to read the Notability guidelines in the Rules link above because there are a few differences between Simple English Wikipedia and the English Wikipedia (which you are familiar with). You should find most of what you need in the welcome links above. Again, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. User:Rus793 (talk) 16:20, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
