Name
changeI'm sure this isn't your real name, since (like we talked about in class) you know that using your real name on the internet would be silly. — Mr Spear (talk) 13:33, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
First, thank you for writing something but I have no idea why you put any of this on the Main Page of the encyclopedia. Surely, you
- remember hearing NOT to do that and
- know that you should write about things under their own name and
- aren't so lazy that you just clicked on the first thing you saw on the internet.
Second, Mr. 2004 already wrote about the Presidential Palace and you need to write about something different. See the list of topics here. Anything that still has a red link is fine.
Third, looking at what you did "write",
- Why did you write the same thing twice? I'm just curious.
- Names start with a big letter. You remembered to do that for almost no names.
- Sentences have verbs. "Located at" is not a verb; things are located at places.
- You gave the palace's location in Nanjing but didn't say where in the world Nanjing is. You're writing to people all over the world and they don't know.
- 50,000 is too big a number to use square meters. At that point, we start using hectares.
- There are spaces between words. There are spaces after marks. You remembered to do that for very few marks.
- 它的 is not "it's" (它是). "It's" is not "it`s".
- "It has a history of more than 600 years and it`s history can be traced back to the early Ming dynasty back to the hou fu and the king of han, qing dynasty was replaced by jiangning weaving department, the general supervision department of two rivers and so on, qing dynasty kangxi qianlong south tour for the palace." looks like gibberish from Baidu Fanyi, since it's about four sentences, two half-sentences, and four groups of words that don't make any sense at all. The Qing Dynasty (清朝) wasn't replaced by a "Weaving Department", the viceroyalty of Liangjiang wasn't "Two Rivers", and you're missing about three verbs and four periods. You need to use your own words, sharing your own thoughts. Things like this don't help anyone and they don't help your English get better.
- You leave lots of unanswered questions, apart from the history. See the questions next to the topics here.
