Mmmm change

Belinda has given you some Hot chocolate with plump marshmallows and foamy cream! Drink it up!

Hello, darling Hydriz, I was just wondering if you would like a small mug of steaming Hot Chocolate to warm you up after all that priceless editing I see you do. At first I considered making some coffee, as that sounds more elegant, but it's less good for your dear health; I actually think Hot Chocolate tastes better. Besides, marshmallows go more well with it than it does with coffee, doesn't it? Well, then, sip it all up! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 05:55, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delicious! Thanks for the coffee! Hydriz (talk) 05:55, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I said it wasn't coffee; that it was Hot chocolate. :P Sorry for the confusion! ingly, Bella tête-à-tête 06:03, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

This edit change

I do not find it amusing to the slightest degree. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 21:29, 9 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your concern! I will have it removed immediately. I am glad someone takes this very seriously. Hydriz (talk) 02:18, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

User:WikiProject Countries/Singapore change

I am finished creating the articles for its home page. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 11:40, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help! Without you, the Wikipedia community will suffer! Hydriz (talk) 11:42, 10 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Simple News change

Please be reminded that Simple News is for news about the Simple English Wikipedia and not for political speculation. Thanks, Goodvac (talk) 10:08, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Simple News is for news about the Simple English Wikipedia and anything related to it. Hydriz (talk) 10:10, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Of course, but how is your political analysis related? Goodvac (talk) 10:14, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
This is not political analysis. It is a view about Simple English, which is the language used on this Wikipedia. Hydriz (talk) 10:15, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Apparently, you aren't looking at the right article. I meant "North Korea against South Korea". Goodvac (talk) 10:17, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh, sorry! But the article was published, or the newspaper has already been published. (I thought you were referring to my new article. Hydriz (talk) 10:18, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just wanted to let you know so there won't be any more of those off-topic types of articles. Thanks! Goodvac (talk) 10:21, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
No problem. :) Hydriz (talk) 10:22, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Another account for bot edits? change

Hi, what would you think about creating a different account, which you can then use for your bot edits? - This would make it possible to flag that account with bot status. Depends ofc how often you use your bot to edit?. As always, this is just an idea...--Eptalon (talk) 11:40, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I am acting as a bot. Those edits were made by me. :) Hydriz (talk) 12:16, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh you have to be kidding, most of our pages are orphaned. Please don't tag them all...it makes articles look bad and hurts the reputation of the wiki. Requests to do tagging like this have been denied in the past, mass work like this should always be put up for discussion before doing. What a mess this will be to clean up now. -DJSasso (talk) 13:53, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Sorry! I have tagged about 1000 pages orphaned. I was using a robot and one admin approved of it. Hydriz (talk) 14:00, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Bot approval requires a crat and must be requested on Wikipedia talk:Bots and should not be run on your own account. -DJSasso (talk) 14:01, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
But I discussed it on IRC. Hydriz (talk) 14:02, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
No official decisions can be made on IRC. Everything needs to be done on-wiki. -DJSasso (talk) 14:03, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
But I asked about this. I even did only 10 to let them see. Hydriz (talk) 14:03, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

┌─────────────────────────────────┘
Doesn't matter, everything has to be done on wiki for request like this because not everyone uses IRC and there is no paper trail with IRC. I can't see what was discussed for example. If the request had been made on-wiki I could have pointed you to other peoples requests to do the same thing which have been denied. Generally on simple mass tagging has been disapproved of because they do more harm than good on a wiki this small. -DJSasso (talk) 14:06, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

(talk page stalker) User:TeleComNasSprVen was blocked for 3 months for tagging and doing repetitious edits like adding complex tags to articles like a bot. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 15:17, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay then. How are we going to fix this? Hydriz (talk) 14:07, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I am seriously, seriously sorry about this error. As I am *new* here, I did not know of these objections being made in the past. Hydriz (talk) 14:10, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
No worries, the admin should have known better. I will leave what you have done alone for the most part and just remove some now and then. No use you doing more useless edits to revert it. Just know in the future mass tagging like this is generally not good and is often looked at by people as someone with editcountitus. Editors who do things like that often get chased off the wiki eventually for just trying to boost their edit count. Ask Razorflame. -DJSasso (talk) 14:11, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I am seriously sorry for this. I deserve my sentence. I hope you block me for three months. As in, seriously. I want the other editors to know the consequences of doing this. Hydriz (talk) 14:13, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please reply. This is a serious issue and I am not joking here. I would seriously recommend you to block me for three months so that other editors know of the consequences. Thanks. Hydriz (talk) 14:21, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I did reply...you overwrote it. -DJSasso (talk) 14:25, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Lol. I did not see. In that case then I will take a Wikibreak. I have to take a break. More edits will disrupt peace in this wiki. Hydriz (talk) 14:27, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Haha you don't have to but if you want go for it. -DJSasso (talk) 14:36, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Bye bye. I also really need a break. Hydriz (talk) 14:37, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) Don't forget WP:AGF does apply to your case. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 15:19, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

All I did say at the start was that if you think that for some edits you will use a semi-automated script, and that this occurs "regularly", create an account for such scripts; the account/user can then be flagged accordingly. I didn't talk about the use of the edits done automatically; because that is a different discussion. Before you ask, I was intending to go through the regular bot-flag-request process... --Eptalon (talk) 16:35, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Sorry for any confusion that may have been caused by this. On IRC Hydriz was asking admins about his bot. I said that only 'crats could flag bots, and that he really should go through the appropriate form and request the flag. He was already working through his 10 edits at this time, and didn't think those ten would do any harm. Had he continued to run the bot I would have asked him to stop, but he did stop at ten. Sorry all. --Gordonrox24 | Talk 16:47, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Everyone, stop it, please. It is solely my fault and mistake. I shouldn't have ran the script in the first place. Lets just enjoy Christmas and see me back at around June 2011. Hydriz (talk) 17:21, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Don't lay all the blame on yourself. To be honest, we need editors here and leaving until June probably hurts the wiki more than adding some orphan tags. I would like to see you back editing very soon. Merry Christmas :) --Gordonrox24 | Talk 00:53, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
