Special:RecentChanges change

You've clogged up the recent changes page over the last 500 edits with you AWB work. If you're going to do more that 50 or so fast edits, please make a bot account or ask a bot to do it for you. Thanks - tholly --Talk-- 17:08, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tholly, I only have a few hundreds of these changes to make, so no use for a bot account. But I'll try to slow down.JurgenG (talk) 06:40, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're doing it again though, please slow down alot, perhaps only doing one group of 50 an hour or something. It's just that recent changes are full of your edits. You might as well finish everything you're doing today, but if you keep doing this, it is worth taking out a bot account, even if not for that regular use - I had to do that in the end. Thanks - tholly --Talk-- 07:05, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I only did about 40 AWB changes this morning, the rest were manual ones. JurgenG (talk) 07:57, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

(unindenting)Only about 100 to go, time to get this over with.JurgenG (talk) 15:17, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

All done, was it that bad? JurgenG (talk) 15:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Awful, terrible and incredibly annoying! But I'll get over it ;) - tholly --Talk-- 15:56, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK glad you'll survive :-) I don't often have that many identical changes to make to a lot of pages. Cheers JurgenG (talk) 15:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Châtelet change

Hello JuergenG,

my mother tongue is not French, so I don't know really, but according to French WP, Chatêlet seems to originally have been the name for a small castle or fortification (in the countryside, to protect a bridge, or similar, in the Middle Ages). In France, there are 11 communes with Châtelet in their name, the Swiss commune is known by its German name, I think. I am only a bit confused: Is Châtelet, Belgium supposed to be the same as the Châtelet you wrote about? - just outside Charleroi? - Thanks for clarifying. --Eptalon (talk) 11:50, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Eptalon, yes 'châtelet' is also the name for a small castle in french. The article I started here on simple is the same Châtelet as Belgium on en.wiki and (Belgique) on fr.wiki JurgenG (talk) 12:13, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

AWB change

If you are planning a lot of little AWB changes, could you click the "minor" button so they are easier to filter out? -- Creol(talk) 16:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

ok, I'll try to remember JurgenG (talk) 16:28, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Lens change

I don't know if you are interested, but Lens seems to not only be some piece of optics/photographic equipment... but also the name of a (larger) city in France (fr:Lens (Pas-de-Calais)), but also that of a smaller one in Belgium fr:Lens (Belgique)) and an even smaller one in Switzerland fr:Lens (Valais). The suiss one is certainly not that important; what about the others? --Eptalon (talk) 12:25, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Eptalon, I should know, I created the stub Lens (Belgium). There is also Lens (disambiguation), but no link from the 'Lens'-pages back to the disambiguation page. Another thing to put on my todo-list. So much to do, so little time... :-)JurgenG (talk) 13:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

??? change

Hi, JurgenG. Ijust got your message. What did you mean by

well, for starters I award you a free user name here on simple :-)

Please respond on my talkpage. 24.1.4.241 (talk) 21:07, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi John Doe, I was only joking. I don't understand why you want to stay behind an IP number instead of creating a user account. JurgenG (talk) 06:15, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ciphertext Merge change

Hi JurgenG I created a separate article for Ciphertext, as the word is used by many [Cryptographic article], it is a common sense that Cipher text is the output of the encryption process but unlike English Wikipedia, a separate article is required in the simple Wikipedia to provide a meaning for an uncommon word. So I’ll remove the merge request. Best Regards Puttyschool (talk) 14:02, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Puttyschool, no problem JurgenG (talk) 14:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
