User talk:Matttest/Archive 1
January 2021 change
- Note: The above referenced block is a CheckUser block. Matttest should respond to the email they received. Operator873talkconnect 06:03, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Djsasso: I have responded already. It’s because I sent the mail privately. Also, as Vermont (another CheckUser) told me to wait for a few weeks or so and not to evade the Block during the blocking period, I just did it. Furthermore, I keep my Global contributions these days.--Matttest (talk) 06:43, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Operator873 blocked you with the rationale of a checkuser block. He has seen the checkuser evidence, which means you have abused multiple accounts. This is against our rules. If Operator873 verified you have abused multiple accounts, you in all likelihood have, meaning your account was created to violate Wikipedia’s policies. George (Kirkburn) (talk) 18:13, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator observation) @KirkburnFandom: Just a comment. Matttest does admit that they abused multiple accounts in his block appeal, and that he apologises. This follows en:Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks#Understand what you did and why you have been blocked --Belwine • 💬 • 📜 19:47, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Ok then. I apologise. George (Kirkburn) (talk) 19:49, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- In my opinion, I don't think there is any reason for a non-admin to comment under an unblock request, unless there is a particularly compelling reason to do so. We don't want the user to interpret these comments as coming from administrators who are declining the above request. --IWI (talk) 20:00, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Unblock request change
@Vermont, Operator873, Eptalon, and ImprovedWikiImprovement: I understand it's difficult to get unblocked because of CheckUser block. However I apologized and I admitted, please take a look of this unblock request and give a reason if decline this request. --Matttest (talk) 05:31, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
@Vermont, Operator873, Eptalon, and ImprovedWikiImprovement: Note: My global contributions comes from anti-vandalism, which is by improving wikimedia projects. I am here to admit that I am actually guilty in abusing several accounts. I won't use sockpuppets anymore, and I clearly understand that I violated wikipedia policies. Here I followed English Wikipedia's guide to appeal sockpuppetry unblock request : Main source:
If you actually are guilty of sockpuppetry, and want to get a second chance at editing, please do as follows:
1. Refrain from making any edits, using any account or anonymously, for a significant period of time (e.g. six months), in the English Wikipedia. You are strongly encouraged to make significant and useful contributions to other Wikimedia projects prior to appealing.
- I have keep making global contributions. Also I doesn't use sockpuppets for editing for 1 year.
2. Make the unblock request from your original account.Sockpuppeteers aren't often unblocked—since they've acted dishonestly, it's hard to believe them—and the administrators certainly aren't going to unblock the sockpuppet account.
- I doesn't abuse multiple accounts after I have been blocked, for 1 year.

@Operator873: I understand that you have no intention to proceed this unblock request, because I am just bad abusers that violates Wikipedia's policy, but please take a look at this request, because you are a CU and you are the admin that blocked me. You will be more familiar with this case. Thanks. --Matttest (talk) 01:08, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- For my part, barring any unexpected developments during this process, I'm happy to see Matttest reintegrate into the community. The block is, indeed, my block and I'm willing to remove it. But I'm going to give my fellow CUs an opportunity to investigate and review this case. If no troubling information is brought to light in the next 3 days, I'll remove the block. I'm allowing the time for Vermont, Eptalon, Djsasso, and others to reflect and input if they have anything to add. Operator873 connect 04:32, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- After a discussion with my counterparts, we've decided to allow a new start for you. You'll need to be aware that any further infraction or other breach of community policies will result in an immediate re-application of the block and it will be much more difficult to justify a 2nd removal in the future. I hope to see you reintegrate into the community and become an upstanding Wikipedian. You are welcome to clean your talk page, if you choose. I'll be unblocking momentarily. - Thanks for the unblock and giving me a new start. -- Matttest (talk) 00:22, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
