Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia, and thanks for finding that vandalism. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Kansan (talk) 18:46, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Let me add my welcome to the one above. I've seen you frequently on new changes, always reverting vandals or doing some other useful work. Simple can always use more helping hands, so welcome aboard! Hope to keep seeing you around, PrincessofLlyr talk 03:49, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I want to make a good change to salt cause I get it from the supermarket why do you keep saying I am a vandalism? :( — This unsigned comment was added by 24.215.82.57 (talk • changes).

That section informs how to obtain (produce) a table salt - not how to buy it ;) Ruy Pugliesi 03:16, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I know I did vandilise "cattle" but how? I just forgot.

Congratulations Ray, for your first month of editing, and so here is your first book award. It can also be used as a medal, or a Userbox, or even a ribbon, or have the whole lot! Keep up the good work, --Peterdownunder (talk) 02:18, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! Ruy Pugliesi 01:22, 19 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Declined change

Howdy. I did decline the QD request at Petrichor because it is a dictionary definition. Whilst these are not usually permitted as article, it falls outside of QD criteria. Kindly, Jon@talk:~$ 19:45, 23 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

No problem. I thought dictionary entries were not permitted as article here, as it occurs in a lot of wikis (where we use to mark these for QD). Regards, Ruy Pugliesi 20:05, 23 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
You are correct, these are not usually done as articles... The deletion of dictionary definitions are decided at Articles (requests) for Deletion. The aim for that, is sometimes a person will make more of an article out of it. Kindly, Jon@talk:~$ 06:01, 24 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Warn/Revert change

I thought that I reverted that edit so I warned the ip. Sorry. πr2 (talk • changes) 02:03, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hasty rollback change

The edit you rollbacked was not vandalism - it just removed an extra space trailing from the end of a sentence. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 02:30, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, K6ka. His previous edit was a vandalism. So I did a rollback again when I saw another edit. Tks, Ruy Pugliesi 02:37, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mahesh Babu change

Hello, can you atleast please help in contributing to Mahesh Babu. Instead of deleting it.

From IP User — This unsigned comment was added by 98.26.25.64 (talk • changes) on Ruy Pugliesi 01:22, 2 February 2015 (UTC).Reply

@98.26.25.64: see: Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view if you are willing to write pages to Simple Wikipedia. The page you have just created is unacepptable and is not written for the purposes of an enciclopedia. Ruy Pugliesi 01:22, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletion requests change

When making a quick deletion request, please use one of the defined quick deletion options. Those are the only reasons that can be used for quick deletions. Not having a neutral point of view, or not having sources, as you specified for Mahesh Babu, are not QD reasons. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 02:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Warning IP users change

Hi, Ruy. When you're warning an IP user, as you did with user 94.197.121.8, please start with a level 1 warning, not a final warning. (If the edits are extremely bad, you could start with level 2, but no higher.) There are a couple of reasons for this. One is that we give users the benefit of the doubt, in case they don't understand that we have rules here. The other reason is that warnings are directed to people, not IP addresses. If multiple bad edits are made under an IP address, then some time goes by, then more bad edits are made, it could be a different person doing the editing. Because of that, we wouldn't honor a "final warning" from earlier. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:13, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Auntof6. In cases like this, it is clear that the only intention is to harm Wikipedia. As a SWMT member, I am used to deal with vandalism in hundreds of wikis on a daily basis, and I can tell you that the aforementioned vandal is probably a LTA. Could you please hide the edit summary here and here? Thanks! ;) Ruy Pugliesi 03:33, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
I would agree with you if this were a registered editor, where we could assume that all edits from the account were by the same person. In cases like this, though, where the IP has made a limited number of edits and they're all within a few minutes of each other, it's not that clear. Even if it's likely that this person does intend harm, we give the benefit of the doubt here and don't block after this small amount of vandalism. I, for one, would not follow through with what that warning says about being blocked the next time they vandalize, not without lower-level warnings. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:47, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bithynia change

Hello Ruy Pugliesi, I saw in the article "Bithynia" a link over the map and I think, that is not correct - it is probably a spam or a vandalism? I don t know. Can you please see at this phanomen? Greatings --Mikota3 (talk) 15:24, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Mikota3. How are you? :) I've been trying to figure out how to address this. However, I haven't found any bug or vandalism at subpages related to that template still... :/ Ruy Pugliesi 02:28, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello, Ruy Pugliesi. Thanks for the answer. On my screen I see over the map following link: [1], and when I follow this link I can read: "Basic Search - Error - Unable to Open Result Set. - /usr/local/nlapp/prod/websearch/data/S_WWWfcagPDevs". Greatings --Mikota3 (talk) 07:50, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you change

Thank you for blocking that IP. I think all of the articles have been tagged now. Etamni | ✉   02:29, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Etamni: yw; thank you for tagging the pages. RadiX 02:39, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Now I know how fast Twinkle works. It felt slow, but all that tagging would have taken forever if I was doing it manually. Etamni | ✉   02:44, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sandbox page change

Hey RadiX, I'm sure you just overlooked it, but Wikipedia:Introduction is a designated page for new users to make test edits. The page is automatically cleaned by a bot. I've stricken the warning you gave an IP user for making a test edit on that page. Regards. Etamni | ✉   03:30, 30 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Etamni. Thanks. You are right, I accidentally reverted it via IRC (#cvn-sw). RadiX 14:16, 30 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Block on IP range change

Hello, we are working on a school project: Wikipedia:Schools/Projects/Notable Female Scientists. We started on Wed and will be running for a few more days. Students are working on the pages noted on this page, and we gave them permission to also make small edits to other pages when they were done with their assignment. We are getting a note that you have blocked out IP ranges:

The IP range on our primary internet link is:

64.62.148.194 through 64.62.148.254

The IP range on our backup internet link is:

64.60.251.82 through 64.60.251.86

Dear Castilibrary2,
Unfortunately, I can not remove this global block.
Please ask a local administrator to disable it on Simple Wikipedia if needed. RadiX 02:43, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
All your named accounts should now have an exemption to the global block, and can edit. Let me know if there is still any problems.--Peterdownunder (talk) 22:40, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
