Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you made, Category:Female rappers, did not meet our rules for new pages, so it has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any tests. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about changing. Thank you.

Category:Female rappers has been deleted because we have decided not to have this category. Please see Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2023/Category:Women composers for the discussion, and WP:CATGENDER for related documentation. If you want this category restored, please use Wikipedia:Deletion review. Thank you for your attention. MathXplore (talk) 07:46, 29 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Jamaican R&B singers. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 08:57, 29 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your recent changes are vandalism and are not acceptable on Wikipedia. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize, you may be blocked from changing pages on Wikipedia. –Davey2010Talk 15:22, 30 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Articles here should follow enwiki, If you have a problem then you'd need to take your concerns to enwiki, It makes no sense having one project showing one thing and another project showing another, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 15:23, 30 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are rude, you know that? Satinpurple (talk) 15:26, 30 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@MathXplore:, do both this wiki and the en wiki need to mirror each other or not? Davey2010 is under the impression it has to, but thought we could get a third option? Satinpurple (talk) 19:18, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Why shouldn't they ?, Why would we have genres that are completely different to those on the main English Wikipedia ? (Not that I've checked but I'm going to assume other wikis are perhaps different too because those aren't checked as much and because vandals think they're funny by changing them),
That all being said I have told you to visit WP:Simple talk and seek others opinions in case I am wrong on this (I don't believe I am wrong but believing and being are two different things and I'd rather you didn't get blocked so would rather you seeked others opinions on this, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 19:23, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, hope MathXplore can shine some light on it Satinpurple (talk) 21:29, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

It looks like you are in a change war. Take care, because the three-revert rule does not let users make more than three reverts on a single page in a single day. Any user may still be blocked for being involved in a change war and disruption, even if they have not broken the three-revert rule. When you disagree with another user, you should first try to talk about changes in order to work together to improve Wikipedia and reach consensus. If you continue to disrupt the page, you may be blocked from changing Wikipedia. –Davey2010Talk 17:45, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Last and final chance, You either go to WP:Simple Talk and seek opinions from others/ get consensus for your edits or you can continue the edit warring and be blocked, Your choice Satinpurple. –Davey2010Talk 17:49, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
But you’re the one who started the change war, you accused me of vandalism, when you started it. I think you’re just being a online bully Satinpurple (talk) 18:14, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wrong. You started this by adding redlinked/ unneeded categories, and adding and removing different genres to/from infoboxes despite being told twice the articles needed to match the English Wikipedia (enwiki) and you were told 14 times "as per enwiki" which should have told you I was reverting per enwiki, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 19:18, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Satinpurple, I'm Griff, a member of the Wikipedia editing team. Hopefully I can provide some guidance on how to edit on Simple English Wikipedia. In general, we follow English Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. When there are situations where we do not follow English Wikipedia, we have a local policy or guideline that applies.
For categories, we have a specific guideline to follow which says There should be a minimum of three articles that would fit into the category before a new category is started. A non-existent (or red-linked) category should not be added to an article and new categories should only be created if the above guidance applies.
For genres, we also follow English Wikipedia as 1. we do not have any specific guidance and 2. there is a music genre task force on English Wikipedia that carefully reviews how genres should be classified.
We ask that editors not engage in consistent changing of genres as this can be disruptive. If there is a good reason why the genre should not follow the English Wikipedia, please discuss it on the article's talk page.
I also recommend reading this article written by one of our senior administrators that discusses more differences between English Wikipedia and this project. If you have any questions, we are all here to help and you can contact me on my talk page and myself or another editor will respond. Best, Griff (talk) 20:09, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
