Hello! I noticed that you may have come here from another Wikipedia, so you know a little about how things work here. I hope you like it here and decide to stay! Here are some links to help you adjust:

There's a lot to do here. Most of it is writing articles that do not exist yet, which you can do by translating from other Wikipedias, but have a look around and see what you want to do. Thanks for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need any help. Etamni | ✉   15:12, 6 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Warnings to IP users

change

Hi, SleepyMode. I noticed that you left an "only warning" message at User talk:2.27.102.34. It's usually not helpful to do that. The reason is that an IP address can be used by different people at different times. Since a Wikipedia warning is aimed at the individual person who made it, not at the IP address, we can't be sure that all bad edits under an IP were done by the same person. If an "only" warning is left and then there is a significant time before the IP vandalizes again, we can't honor that warning. In fact, when enough time passes, we start over with lower-level warnings. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:26, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

So, In which cases do you set it an "Immediate Warning"? SleepyMode (talk) 17:44, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
What is an "Immediate Warning"? By the way, when replying to a talk page message, please reply on the page where the original message was left so that the conversation stays in one place. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:02, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Auntof6: Its a level 4im. SleepyMode (talk) 18:25, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Ah. Those are probably more appropriate for registered users who are actively making a lot of very bad edits. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:03, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Palm trees make what sound?

Can you explain this diff please? Palm tree Etamni | ✉   07:52, 10 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Etamni: It was a system error as I reserved after someone has reserved it - Just a second before me, So, nothing I can do about it. SleepyMode (talk) 13:16, 10 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'm assuming you meant "reverted" -- anyway, I see that the other change was just a couple of minutes before yours, and if you were looking at the old version, I guess that makes sense. I usually refresh the screen after reverting something like that to make sure the results are what I intended -- sometimes they haven't been. Etamni | ✉   18:45, 10 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thankes Etamni - Im new around and I'm still trying to learn :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by SleepyMode (talkcontribs)

Hi SleepyMode. I noticed you changed the bold name of the subject to a link, linking the article to itself. For that reason only I reverted your edit. We have two guidelines you will find helpful in editing Simple English Wikipedia pages: Wikipedia:Guide to layout and Help:How to change pages. If you have any questions you can ask here or at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Thanks and again welcome. User:Rus793 (talk) 15:16, 26 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not vandalism

change

This edit was not vandalism, and the edit should not have been reversed as vandalism. Etamni | ✉   20:48, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

At User talk:104.58.147.208#January 2017 I answered the question on why the page was redirected. Can you redirect it back? 104.58.147.208 (talk) 14:09, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

No, sorry, I will take a look now! SleepyMode (talk) 14:10, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, I need help simplifying the statement: "Madagascar is an island country located off the eastern coast of Africa." What should I say instead of located? And I replied again at my user talk. 104.58.147.208 (talk) 14:18, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I have absolutely no clue. SleepyMode (talk) 14:26, 31 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
