No prob. I don't think there's any rule that only a 'crat can close and archive a RfA. A single admin should certainly be able to do this too, if he/she can tell the outcome in a clear-cut case with no dispute, which is usually the case. The main thing a 'crat can do special that admins can't, is make someone an admin with the click of a button, which should normally only be done following a successful RfA anyway. But it saves time from having to petition at Meta! Blockinblox - talk 12:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Bot status

change

Bot status granted for Synthebot! Thanks, Archer7 - talk 12:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm a little confused. It looked to me like the decision regarding Order of the Garter, Franks, List of Byzantine Emperors, and Privy Council of the United Kingdom was to delete all but List of Byzantine Emperors. Creol had simplified it and it looked much better. I think most of the editors were saying to delete unless the articles were simplified. Since that article was simplified, I'm not sure why you deleted it. I don't care much either way, I was just confused because I expected that article to be kept. Thanks.· Tygartl1·talk· 14:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

List of Byz emperors restored

change

I restored your deletion of the article List of Byzantine Emperors. The RfD on the entire group did pass, but that specific article did not get a majority of the votes for deletion (Blockinblox and I voted simplify, 2 voted delete, and Eptalon voted delete with change to simplify if someone wants to.) As I had already simplified the article after it's nomination (and after the 2 delete votes who may not have noticed the articles status changed) that would have had its count at 2 simp, 2 delete, and Eptalon's as the 3rd simp (someone did want to simplify it). With a 3-2 vote for simplify, it did not pass for deletion. -- Creol(talk) 06:53, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

RE:Welcome

change

Thanks for the welcome. I have been sitting on en.wikipedia.org for a while, originally just looking after minor edits, but more recently patrolling recent changes. On here I was looking to try and help contribute as much as possible, and have started trying to touch up some of the articles that others are working on. I plan on improving Nuclear Energy too. However, I have little experience writing in simple english and am not entirely sure how to go about such in regards to a topic like Nuclear Energy. Nonetheless, I would be willing to help where necessary as I have plenty of spare time on my hands for meanial work. Thanks again for the welcome. Looking forward to the possibility of working together. --Martian.knight 23:27, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Saving energy at home

change

Dear Clarity, I am sorry, but this is an encyclopedia, not an online guidebook. Saving energy at home is a nice guide. I like it, but this is unencyclopedic. I am sorry, but I will have to place it on a request for deletion. You can comment on it if you want to. I'm not discouraging you and I hope you understand. Cheers, new user!-- Tdxiang 04:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi and thanks for taking the time to explain that. I'm still getting used to this simple English thing. If given the chance I would like to modify the page, if that's OK, to make it more encyclopedic. -- Clarity 04:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Re: Richard Marsland

change

Hello, I notice you removed the link to Richard Marsland's Uncylopedia page. It is as useful there as the link to the alphabetical list on livejournal (which under wiki policy is a social networking site to normally be avoided), and so I think it is an acceptable edit Tag-molio 12:33, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

alas, you've beaten me to it lol (re: my userpage). Even though uncyclopedia is classed as a parody site, the exact link in discussion merely offers a more accessable alternative to livejournal, thus preventing vandalism of both this and his page on wikipedia Tag-molio 12:35, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Ah apologies, did not see the adult content. well, in that case, the link to the livejournal site should really be removed (because wikipedia is not the place for indiscriminate lists) Tag-molio 12:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I asked if you understood Japanese and if you understood basic or intermediate Chinese. Would you mind responding, please? Panda Bear 19:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

If you don't know Japanese, then why did I see Japanese characters on one of your messages to Tangotango's talk page? And I already know that you speak Chinese. I asked how experinced you were at Chinese. Do you understand basic or intermedite Chinese? I don't think Chinese which is rusty would qualify for advanced and it probably doesn't qualify for near-native. Panda Bear 22:55, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello Tdxiang,

when you deleted your Userpage yesterday, I set you on the list of inactive admins. At that time of course I did not know what was going on. Exams, together with Education, are important. They are important for your future. I think it is therefore worthwile to put the preparation for the examination before Wikipedia. After taking the exam, you can come back, and will be just as welcome. :)

So please do take that Wikibreak to prepare as best you can. Real life is more important than Wikipedia.

And of course good luck to you --Eptalon 09:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
