Thank you for coming forward to run the whole contest smoothly. But still some things need to be verified. Kindly check that....

• … the fountain tool is working properly so that participants do not have problems submitting articles.
• … all the links and menus on the project page(s) are working properly so that participants are not confused by the wrong hyperlinks.
• …you have created a list of articles or similar suggestions to make it easier for participants to select articles.
• …global and local prises have been properly announced on the project's landing page.

There's more you can do,

• You can leave messages in your community Village Pump or equivalent and at various discussion/talk pages related to the project.
• With the help of local administrator you can provide site notice on your wiki for one month.
• You can send a message inviting potential participants or regular editors to participate in the contest.

When listing articles to be created, @Darkfrog24 hasadded asterisks that mean "has been requested by atleast one other simple English wiki project". But I don't see any other such wiki project requesting the majority of the asterisked (I made that word up) articles to be created.

On Meta someone noted that the Fountain tool was not accepting expanded articles. User:Hirok Raja said the rules were unclear: No they will not take expansions of existing articles after all, only new articles created after September 1. • Article size must be at least 3000 bytes and 300 words
• The content of the article must be related to women, feminism and LGBTQ
• The article must be newly created between 1 - 30 September, 2021. Do not accept any extended articles.**
• Check if the article is linked to the Wikidata item. If applicable, do the work on your own initiative.
• There should be no copyright violations and notability issues and article should have proper references as per Wikipedia policies.

I think if it did not include non-words, the main contest organizers would have said so, but if you are in doubt and the article really is that short, just add more text until you reach 300 words. Darkfrog24 (talk) 17:03, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Rule clarification on help

@Darkfrog24 Jury member(s) can only make general corrections. They can't do any large-scale editing. So I don't see any reason to be uncomfortable with it. - Hirok Raja (talk) 18:07, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

One participant complained that he submitted an article but it was not accepted due to some errors. Later, he corrected it and informed the local jury members but they refused to accept it. The international team's response to this is: "If an article is not accepted due to errors, send a message to the user concerned stating those errors and accept it after correction. We always want to create a friendly environment for newcomers to the contest and it is certain that newcomers will not create perfect articles on the first try." Everyone is requested to follow this gentle principle.

Which article are you talking about, @Hirok Raja:? The biggest problem we've had here are articles that are too complex for the Simple English Wikipedia. I don't know of any contestant who messaged to say "I improved the article; look at this one again."

I absolutely agree that if a rejected article is improved it should be re-marked. Darkfrog24 (talk) 14:15, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

More Fountain fussing

@Elytrian and Haoreima: We have at least two contestants, @Eptalon: and @Prajjwal3959:, whose articles do not show up in Fountain. I asked on Meta and one of the organizers mentioned a Submit button. Elytrian and Haoreima have both successfully submitted articles to the contest. Can you describe what entering your articles into Fountain looks like so Prajjwal and Eptalon can be included? Step 1: Logout.

Step 2: Press "Submit"

Step 3: Login and accept terms.

Step 4: Enter article title.

Step 5: If the article requirements are achieved, press add.

Step 6: I think you're done, but I don't remember now.

For me, I logged in and press the "Submit" Button first and write the article's name in the given space. And then press the button to add the article. It's done. No, they're not. Jurors are allowed to change them. I've already requested instructions for how to go in and do so. Jurors have until the END of October to mark the articles. Darkfrog24 (talk) 11:05, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Deadlines

User Shakil emailed me to say there is no strict policy, but YES if the article is improved after September 30, we're allowed to change it's mark. I am in awe of the interest and effort and excellent choice of topics I have seen in this branch of the contest. This is a reminder to all participants that the deadline to submit an article to Fountain is the end of September 30. Articles submitted on October 1 or later do not count for the contest (though Simple English will still be better for them).

Date added is wrong...

Hello, Just wanted to point out that what'd probably called "Date added" on the page on Fountain of the article (here) is totally off. Might be: The first time, SEWP had an article on that topic, it was first added on that date. So, whoever reviews: Don't exclude an article because that date is reported wrong.
