The Kingdom of the South, was the Kingdom of Italy during the Italian Civil War from September 8 1943 - May 2 1945.
In September 1943, Italy surrendered to the western allies, but civil war would begin with the independence of the Italian social republic.
Rome would be liberated in June on 1944 and the Allied forces would advance in Italy.[1]
