You are missing Bermuda from the list of Countries in the North America Continent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.249.240.33 (talkcontribs)

Bermuda is a British overseas territory. While, in many regards, it is treated as a country, it actually is not an independent country. --Creol(talk) 09:59, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

This page is missing four African Countries: Central African Republic Uganda Burundi Tanzania I seem to be unable to edit it.

Wrong Number of Countries for South America change

French Guiana isn't a country and so shouldn't be on this list. This also means that saying that South America has 13 countries is incorrect.

Republic of Georgia? change

I believe geographically Georgia belongs under the Asia category

Puerto Rico change

Puerto Rico is not a country, as clearly indicated on its own page. It is an unincorporated territory of the United States of America. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.246.40.55 (talkcontribs) 21:46, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Eurasian countries change

The explanation that some countries conventionally considered to be European are considered to be in Asia by the UN needs to be sourced (I suggest https://www.un.org/depts/DGACM/RegionalGroups.shtml from the UN's official site). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.246.40.55 (talkcontribs) 21:46, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia are considered as Eastern European ; Turkey is in WEOG by UN change

The list is completely wrong. "Russia is politically Europe" you say but don't mention that Turkey is also politically part of Europe. "After the ten founding members, Turkey was one of the first countries to become a member of the Council of Europe in 1949. The country was also an associate member of the Western European Union from 1992 to its end in 2011. Turkey signed a Customs Union agreement with the EU in 1995 and was officially recognised as a candidate for full membership on 12 December 1999, at the Helsinki summit of the European Council. Negotiations for full membership were started on 3 October 2005."[[1]][[2]][[3]]

So if Russia is listing in both Asia and Europe then Turkey needs to be listed in both Asia and Europe.

United Nations also considering Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia as Eastern European country. https://www.un.org/depts/DGACM/RegionalGroups.shtml DarkPirate35 (talk) 12:56, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite change

I suggest this list is changed to match the format of List of countries. It would show each country along with a flag, separated by dashes, instead of on separate lines. Each capital can be written in parentheses following the country. This would make it easier to read and more consistent in style. Lights and freedom (talk) 19:18, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Lights and freedom: I see no reason we have to keep the formats consistent, but I have no objection. However, if you're going to change it, why not make it even better? Put the list in a table and show the flag, the country name, and other information such as the capital city, maybe the establishment date, maybe more.
I also say be bold and go ahead! If you want to get comments on a format before changing the live article, you could work on it in a sandbox. -- Auntof6 (talk) 20:32, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I could put it in a table. However, I think it might be better not to include the establishment date, because this can be controversial. Lights and freedom (talk) 20:39, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Lights and freedom: OK, that was just a suggestion. :) -- Auntof6 (talk) 22:26, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
