I'm not going to get into a back-and-forth about who has insulted who, because civility applies to all parties, but I should point out that you insulted him first. That doesn't mean I think the insult back was necessary, of course, although I blocked your account because you were not here to help build an encyclopedia – your account seemed solely dedicated to causing disruption. --Ferien (talk) 20:18, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

That is such BS! He said this after my attempted request, “…it's the end of the road for you and whatever wiki editing "career" you had." That is not a nice response. It comes off as snobby and unlikeable. This is literally my first time here! And yet y’all are okay letting him degrade people? Are you kidding me right now?! All of y’all can go to hell! Context matters, I said and I quote "If you wish to edit you need to appeal your block otherwise it's the end of the road for you and whatever wiki editing "career" you had"

A) "it's the end of the road for you was indirectly referring to WP:SOCK

I said "and whatever wiki editing "career" you had" because I don't know you from Adam and so I don't know if you were a previously respected editor or just a troll/vandal/LTA, I felt my wording at that time was more neutral but maybe it didn't read that way,

B) As I've got older I have far less time (and patience tbh) for trolls, vandals and LTAs which is why I immediately dismissed your comment but sure I accept my approach could've been better here which I will take away and learn from, Thanks –Davey2010^Talk 20:44, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

As I said, I am not engaging in a back-and-forth on this matter. Another administrator will make a fair review of the unblock for you. And, I should note, my block wasn't about the insult, but telling us all to "go to hell" doesn't inspire confidence that you will contribute constructively to this wiki, and it is difficult to expect anyone to truly be able to add anything of value to such a comment. --Ferien (talk) 20:40, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

"No I wont be proxy-editing for banned users, If you wish to edit you need to appeal your block otherwise it's the end of the road for you and whatever wiki editing "career" you had.." I then said “thanks for nothing, a-hole” and they said You're welcome @prick, Now get the f*** off my talkpage. and I’m the one being punished? • There was no need to call me an arsehole period, You asked for my help and I declined stating why, I appreciate you weren't happy with the answer but common sense should've told you you were going to get the same answer no matter who you asked because no respected editor is going to risk their editing privileges for a blocked user, That being said I apologise for the comment, I give what I'm given but sure not reacting to it would've been better so I apologise for my comment. –Davey2010^Talk 20:11, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
