Conflict of interest change

Hello Markus. I'm assuming you are the Markus Schulze you refer to in your own edits to this Wikipedia? Please take note of our conflict of interest guidelines which strongly recommend that you do not edit about yourself or things so closely connected to yourself that you may have a conflict of interest. Continuation of such will be considered self-promotion and I will not hesitate to remove the content of your edits and/or block you from further edits. I would guess from your understanding of wiki-markup that you have edited in one Wiki or another recently. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:49, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Markus, this is your last chance. Please refrain from editing the article. I know you mean well, but you should already know about our conflict of interests guidelines from en.wiki. Just because the article was requested, does not mean you have to be the one to do it. Again, this is your last chance and I hope you decide to listen this time. Synergy 21:58, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
If you are the Marcus Schulze, you have to contact Wikimedia to confirm your identity. If you do not do this (en.wp policy) you could be banned. Griffinofwales (talk) 22:23, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
We are not en. If we want to wave these policies about... let's create them locally kthxbai.
@Marcus, you have been unblocked, but I do suggest that you try to take on what others say. Goblin 12:01, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

E-mail change

I have sent you an e-mail. Synergy 22:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

My understanding of Wikipedia's COI guideline is that a conflict of interest is not a problem per se. It is only a problem when it causes a violation of other guidelines (e.g. neutral point of view, what Wikipedia is not, notability, verifiability, autobiography, no original research, no personal attacks): "COI editing is strongly discouraged. When editing causes disruption to the encyclopedia through violation of policies such as neutral point of view, what Wikipedia is not, and notability, accounts may be blocked." Markus Schulze 02:04, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Correct. And after reviewing your contributions to the article, as stated on Wikipedia:Simple talk, you were not adding citations to the article. I checked over every edit, and not one inline citation was added. Now, I was expecting you to make a comment when two administrators left warnings on your talk page. I felt there was a lack of communication, and I'm please you have decided to discuss this. Right now, you are unblocked, and you will remain unblocked as long as you adhere to all of which you stated directly above. Please also be mindful that the last version of the article was also way too complex, and any further edits need to be simplified. Synergy 19:53, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Schulze method change

Hi! I have rewritten the article Schulze method to make it simpler, and to avoid any potential for COI. Could you kindly read what I've written and let me know if I have understood the basics of the method correctly? The article doesn't have to fully explain the method but it should give an understanding of what it is and how it works. I'd like to work with you on this article and I'd like to expand it beyond what it is at the moment. We can discuss it here, on my talk page or on the article talk page. Thanks! :-) fr33kman talk 20:10, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
