Thanks

Hello, Razorflam. Thank you for welcome me here. I'll try to contribute some. Most of time I come over here to pick some articles and take them in my small wiki. I just read them and try to translate them in language, then I provide them in our wiki (sw:wiki). I was always afraid to contribute here for the sake of my less knowledge. But I'll try all the best I can... I hope u'll help me if I got problem...--Muddyb Blast Producer (talk) 14:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would be happy to help you if you are requiring help. Just let me know when you need help, and I will be happy to help you as best I can. Razorflame 14:47, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Razorflame. Nice to hear that if u'll help me at any moment. I'll try it...--Muddyb Blast Producer (talk) 05:12, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help, but I'm going through everything very thoroughly, and we've had some edit conflicts and I've had to fix some of your changes. I'd appreciate it if you would let me continue what I was doing. Thank you. · Tygrrr... 19:36, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism?

"The term mud can also be affiliated with feces, particularly that of humans. If gathered together, and flattened, you can also have a mud pie." --Bärliner 21:03, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think so. Not sure though. Razorflame 21:05, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You reverted to it in Mud pie --Bärliner 21:21, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
If I did, I didn't mean to. I was trying to undo vandalism that was posted earlier in it. If I did revert to it, then I did it mistakenly. I am sorry. Razorflame 16:16, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Abide with Me

"Probably a proper noun (if it is the name of a song)". Why not check where it should go before you moved it?--Bärliner 21:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I figured that it was a proper noun, but I was unawares of how to title songs. Now that I know how to title songs, I will title them correctly in the future. Thanks for letting me know. Razorflame 21:13, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Images

Please note that not all pages created in the Image: namespace or pages about images created in the article namespace are image uploads, it's possible for an image to be at the commons, yet for someone to create a page about it here. All image uploads here can be found at Special:Log/upload. Cheers, Lights (talk) § 21:18, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

What are you requiring of me? Razorflame 15:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Requests for permissions

Hi Razorflame,

Would you mind explaining why you posted this onto meta:Requests for permissions? It seems to me that you have attempted to find a loophole in the system to gain adminship without an RfA. If that's true, that's really not acceptable at all.

Wikipedia is a community-based project, and we use the opinions of all editors to make decisions. Stewards are not a higher authority that can over-rule the community at your request, and the only way you will be promoted is by gaining community approval. Please do not attempt to bypass the rules again. Archer7 - talk 23:34, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

That wasn't the case. I just wanted temporary adminship to deal with vandalism as nobody was on at the time, or if they were, they weren't dealing with the vandalism. That's why I posted it. Razorflame 15:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your imperfect understanding of policy

Please familiarize yourself with the policies here regarding userpages and deleting versus archiving. Archiving is clearly not mandatory, and saying that blanking one's own talkpage can be seen as vandalism is just plain wrong. The relevant policies can be found here. It says specifically, "Policy does not prohibit users from removing comments from their own talk pages, though archiving is preferred. Please note, though, that the removal of good-faith warnings, even though permitted, is often frowned upon". Barliner quite rightly reverted your warning, but I have noticed you doing it to others. Please stop. Jeffpw (talk) 10:18, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's the thing: It says that archiving is preferred. Razorflame 15:30, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, by all means continuing to represent the policy as something that it is not, if that's your inclination. But I will say right now that I have no intention of archiving my page, and will continue blanking it as I see fit. Any subsequent warnings, criticisms, etc. from you about this to me will simply be blanked on sight. Jeffpw (talk) 17:03, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not saying that you have to archive. If you want to blank instead, that's fine. You won't see me giving you anymore warnings or criticisms about this. Razorflame 17:34, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes you are "Please archive your talk page instead of just deleting it." Your memory also seems imperfect --Bärliner 19:03, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
On his talk page, I did. But I've already said that I won't post anything more to his talk page unless I need to (for other reasons, like asking him a question etc.) Razorflame 20:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article Shemale

Hi Razorflame. I was about to write that article (Shemale), but I just couldn't to write it because page was already deleted by Elapton. So I can't persist to write such article, but I was so exciting to write it. I don't know which reason made Elapton to delete that article, maybe there was certain insultation which is not acceptable to society that's why admin decided to delete it. I want to rewrite it but in good order, will you let me to rewrite it?--Muddyb Blast Producer (talk) 13:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is the reason for Eptalon deleting it:

06:09, 24 February 2007 Eptalon (Talk | changes) deleted "Shemale" ‎ (content was: 'A chick with a dick800px' (and the only contributor was 'Mythunderstick'))

If you would like to make this article for the Wikipedia, I would suggest asking Eptalon if you can make the page. Seeing as I am not an administrator on this site, I can't help you in this case, but if you were to take it up with Eptalon and convince him that you are wanting to make a good rewrite of that article, then I can see no reason why Eptalon won't let you create it. Razorflame 15:33, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your suggestions... I am going to tell him right now!!--Muddyb Blast Producer (talk) 15:59, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

You don't have to get permission to write an article that has been deleted. Oysterguitarist 16:51, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I know that, but I was just being cautious. Razorflame 16:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

You must ask for permission, cause you can't know which reason made admin to delete an article. Permission (information) it's facilitate to make good communication (even to understand each other) with an admin. So we will continue to informing each other for everything leagally, thank you...--Muddyb Blast Producer (talk) 11:38, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Muddyb: As Oysterguitarist said, you do not need permission. That is because he and the other admins (including me) will only delete an article which is against the rules. And I do not think you would want to create such an article. The article that was deleted did not try to explain "Shemale", it was just one line of rude words.--Bärliner 12:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Could you please have a look here and then tell me if the template is closed? Because I see it open but I don't know if it's a mistake of mine in the code or it's my internet explorer that doesn't work... Katiusha (tell me) 20:31, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

194.95.143.150

Why did you give 194.95.143.150 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) such a severe warning? (Terry) 20:50, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I gave it such a severe warning because it already had a test4 from earlier, and I believe that after looking at its contributions, that it is specifically attacking just one user. I would have to suspect that this type of behavior is reminescant of Freddy, so I gave him such a severe warning based on that. Razorflame 20:51, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I understand now. (Terry) 20:53, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Homophobia

I thought I used simple words in it, but I guess they have to be simpler. I made changes. Let me know if you think it is okay now. If not, I would love some tips and guidance on what needs changed and why (to help me in the future). Thanks for your time, нмŵוτнτ 00:08, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Some of the words you used were a bit too complex. Discrimination is a hard word (even if it is linked), and there were a few other words that were too complex, but you did a very good job on it. It is much better now. I have removed the complex tag from the article, as there is no longer a need for it. Any other questions, feel free to ask me. Razorflame 00:10, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's a hard to find a synonym for discrimination, but thanks for helping me figure it out. I do have one question: are editors supposed to stick to simple English on talk pages, userpages, and AfD discussions too? нмŵוτнτ 00:34, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
No. If you look at any of the discussion pages, you'll see that some people don't use Simple English on them. I personally don't use Simple English on any sort of discussion page, as it could dilute the meaning of what I am trying to say. Razorflame 00:35, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Haha, oh... I've been dumbing down everything I'd said on here thus far. Thanks for letting me know. нмŵוτнτ 00:43, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you look on my userpage, you'll see that I am a native English speaker. Razorflame 00:43, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ha, well, I thought that maybe there was some rule about it, so that if readers who can't understand English so well want to read any page (even userpages), they can understand everything. Who knows what was going through my mind. Thanks again, нмŵוτнτ 01:05, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Razorflame. Stop do that. I my self I don't know fluently English Language, if you say that you'll make other people suffered for your native English. It's better to wite simple English for the sake of all people who participate in this wiki. Sorry for being beyond of topic.. Cheers.--RecorDprodUceR (talk) 09:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I now changed the word Descrimination to segregation. I think that is simple word than Descrimination!! What do you think?--RecorDprodUceR (talk) 09:23, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template:Pokémon

Why did you edit the catagory on the Pokémon template??? It should be on the article ONLY and not the template. (Terry) 20:49, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I edited it to make it so that it doesn't automatically transclude it onto every single article that it is put on. That's what the Category: syntax is for. Razorflame 20:51, 30 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Warning users

Please don't warn IPs for edits done 3 days ago... it's pretty pointless, as the user in question has probably changed, and often users aren't warned by the reverter for a reason. Please leave it up to the reverter to warn in future. Thanks, Majorly (talk) 20:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mmkay. Razorflame 20:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're still warning users you didn't revert. Why? Majorly (talk) 21:05, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I checked the edit history, and found that they were vandalous edits. The one to Carbohydrate was very recent, and I checked the edit history twice before I warned the user. Razorflame 21:06, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You told me once not to warn people when other people had reverted the edits. Terry (talk) 21:08, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I told you not immediately after. I would usually wait to see if they would warn the user, then go and check the edits to see if they were indeed vandalism. Then, you can go ahead and warn the user :) Razorflame 21:13, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Adminship

Hi! Many thanks for your message. I am naturally thankful for the suggestion, but I think I am probably most useful doing what I am doing now, i.e. contributing, especially to the music section. I am fairly irregular on the site: sometimes don't visit it for a whole week: it depends what I'm doing in the real world. Tonight happens to be free, other times might be 5 minutes while eating a sandwich during which I might spot a misprint. I imagine admin is quite time-consuming? Hikitsurisan (talk) 21:23, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't have to be. You could always spot edit....but your activity would be a major factor as to if an RfA for you would be successful or not. I currently am on the brink of nomming you and not nomming you because of activity. If you were even a little more active than you are now, I would very much so consider you for a nomination for becoming an administrator. If you would like to go ahead, I will nominate you, but if you would not like to continue, then I will gladly drop the idea. Razorflame 21:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I have been giving the matter some thought but, on reflection, I would prefer not to become involved in this way. As real life commitments continue to be quite time-consuming I am happy to continue as I am, writing articles and improving existing ones. Yes, I've been quite active just these last few days since time permits at the moment (and I am spurred on by the idea of getting the article on Pipe Organ up to Very Good standard - hence at present mopping up red links). Thank you for considering and suggesting the possibility.

Do you happen to know whether there are any figures available to show how many people read/use Simple Wikipedia?Hikitsurisan (talk) 15:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't know the individual circumstances about the sw Wikipedia, and the reasons for making you an administrator there, so therefore, I would not feel it appropriate for me to vote for you on the sw Wikipedia. Please understand my reasoning for this, I don't want to vote for you because of the reasons that I have posted just now. Razorflame 15:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD causes ceased to exist

Please modify your vote in accord to current changes to "keep" status, because I already removed all causes of your objections from both PIE articles nominated to deletion. For proof look here: Schleicher's fable, The king and the god. Both articles no longer are copied, they are now heavily reworded to be different from main English wiki. CBMIBM (talk) 10:56, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry, but I cannot change my vote for this. I firmly believe that this article is not needed at the moment. Razorflame 14:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I made article now as simple as possible using Basic English vocabulary, according to Majorly hints, thus deletion reasons are now null and void, and too added context according to Tygrrr hint, thus please review your vote. Article is needed, because Proto-Indo-European language has wikilinks to both articles such as Schleicher's fable and The king and the god. CBMIBM (talk) 14:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Frankly, I just cannot see the use of such articles to the Simple English Wikipedia at this time. I am sorry, but I cannot change my vote. Razorflame 19:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you insist on deletion, these both wikilinks should disapper from Proto-Indo-European language article after deleting both articles. CBMIBM (talk) 19:51, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
They'll just be recreated, only better. Razorflame 19:59, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thus why you want them deleted instead of reedited? CBMIBM (talk) 20:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've already given you my viewpoints on this topic. I would like to request that you back off and stop posting messages to me on here. Thanks! Any further replies will be deleted. Razorflame 20:08, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Archival of vandalism in progress

Hi Razorflame, I just noticed you archived the ViP page. I saw in that action an opportunity to bring up something that I think needs to be addressed: Frankly, you use that page too much. In December of 2007 and January of 2008, you account for something close to 90% of the ViP reports. The sheer number of them has increased the size of the standard archival period of 3 months to 1 month. I think it would be fair to say that you alone have tripled the amount of ViP reports made. I don't think I'm off too much by saying that about 75 - 90% of the reports you make on that page, do not need to happen. An single IP can usually not make enough changes in a short amount of time to make to warrant a ViP report and most times a block isn't even needed. You know that the admins watch the New Changes like hawks most of the time. We're not here to block as many trouble IPs as we can. A short term block is usually sufficient, no more than a day. There are no steps of punishment as you seem to think is the case from your conversation with Majorly. A admin can decide what the length of block should be very arbitrarily. There are no rules or guidelines. Blocks and page protections simply do not need to happen at the rate you think they should be. I think a lot of admins would be nervous voting for you in an RfA in the future because although we can clearly see you're very dedicated, we can't have you protecting every page that gets vandalized once and blocking IPs for weeks or months because some kids were fooling around. You're very dedicated and a good user; I'm just trying to steer you on the right path because it is clear you want to become an admin. -  BrownE34  talk  contribs  14:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would never block an account for longer than 24 hours unless it was a return vandal, and then, no more than 72 hours. As for page protection, since running my own Wiki, I've seen that there is little need for protecting pages unless it needs it because of a large amount of vandalism. As for the ViP, I will not use it as much now. Thanks for letting me know that I use that page too much. I hope that I can stop using it as much now. I hope this clears things up, Razorflame 14:38, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the barnstars! I removed this image because I just didn't agree with it. I hope you don't mind Lights § talk 16:16, 1 February 2008 (UTC) with an amendment made by Razorflame 16:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hold on! There's still one more that me forgot the put in there :) Razorflame 16:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again! Lights § talk 16:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
You deserve it! Razorflame 16:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wow, thanks again! You can have six cookies.

Lights § talk 16:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the cookies! Yum! Chocolate chip is my favorite! (not really) I just hope that they are soft! I reduced the image size so that it didn't take up the whole page :)Razorflame 16:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
How do I make cookies here? When are they given to? Inkpen2 (talk) 21:39, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Revert

Thanks. I reverted BONM Germany cos that is my next goal, not a request :) Thanks for the thought though. --Bärliner 16:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mmkay. I couldn't get the message that I wanted to on there anyways, so I am kind of glad that you reverted it. Razorflame 16:44, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
No rude messages in templates:)
Forget lights' cookies, try   :)
I didn't think that I left a rude message in a template. Anyways, what the heck is that supposed to be a picture of? Razorflame 16:48, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
An elephant shaped German cookie of course...--Bärliner 19:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Awesome! I never had German cookies before!  :) Razorflame 19:35, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Simple English Wikiquotes

If I'm correct, I think Simple English Wikiquotes was deleted. нмŵוτнτ 17:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I only created an account there, I didn't really do much there. Razorflame 17:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

hello

thank you for that picture on my talk page. It is very pretty. Should I give you one back? Show me around here.

No, you shouldn't give me one back, because I have already been welcomed. It has all of the links that you will need to get shown around the site. I would suggest you read all of the pages on the pretty picture that I've given you to help yourself learn more about this page. Razorflame 21:07, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok thank you. What should i do now? What are you?
You should focus on making articles. As to your second question, I don't know what you are trying to ask of me. Please only ask me questions if they are serious questions. Please also sign your name after your post using four tildes ~~~~. Thanks Razorflame 21:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Making articles? I will do that. Would you like to know my interests? And by my second question, I meant what you do here? Sorry for my english not being so good. Thank you. And do you mean like this? Inkpen2 (talk) 21:15, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I mainly help clean up articles, add interwiki links, revert vandalism, and create articles; just your average user here on the Simple English Wikipedia. If you would like, you can definitely tell me your interests (if you really want me to know them), and I would also like to add that the Administrator's Noticeboard is only for issues that involve administrators. If you would like to make a general comment, please use the The Simple talk page in the future. Thanks, Razorflame 21:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

On the countries, we could use a bit more help. We've already created all the articles possible that we could've created on the topics of Nazis, Hitler, and Jews. Such an interesting list. Very wide amount of topics. Razorflame 22:51, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sour

Why did you delete my name from the article I made about sour? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

That was me. You should not leave your signature after any article that you create, because you, in actuality, don't own the article; the article is owned by the site, so therefore, nobody can claim it as their own. I hope this helps. Razorflame 22:53, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok i understand it now. I thank you. Inkpen2 (talk) 22:55, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not a problem. I would also suggest typing in something different when you leave messages for other people on their talk pages. I would suggest actually typing in a comment before submitting your edit. Razorflame 22:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean? Oh and thank you for reading the list above this writing. Is there anything we have in common that I can help you to work with? Inkpen2 (talk) 23:00, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Instead of writing "This is a subject/etc..." write in the subject title what the actual topic that you are bringing up is. There is nothing that I am interested in that you are also interested in. Please read my userpage under the Biography section to find my interests. Razorflame 23:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok i understand it now. I thnk you. And I will check. I hope that there is at minimal one thing that I can help with. I do not want to edit alone. Inkpen2 (talk) 23:05, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sometimes you have to edit alone. That way, you can learn more. You learn more through going for it and making mistakes than you do being guided through life. You should go ahead and take risks. BE BOLD!. Read the heading under this edit box. It says this: Don't be afraid to start or improve articles! If your changes are not perfect, they can always be fixed by other editors. I would suggest you just go for it, as other editors will always be there to help you through it, just not in such a hands on way. Please consider what I have said carefully.
