Welcome! change

Hello, Sinbad, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! Oysterguitarist 18:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello change

Hello, Sinbad. Thank you for your edits here. I noticed that several of the changes you made were to add a blank line between the DEFAULTSORT and the categories. Please don't put a blank line there. The DEFAULTSORT should be right next to the categories. There also doesn't need to be a blank line between an infobox and the first paragraph in an article. There does, however, need to be two blank lines before a stub template.

I also noticed that you changed the defaultsort on Stefan Löfven from "Lofven, Stefan" to "Löfven, Stefan". You probably didn't know, but diacritics (letters with accents and other characters not used in English) are not used in sort keys. That defaultsort was correct before you changed it, so I changed it back.

Thanks again for your work here, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions. --Auntof6 (talk) 12:13, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Oh, Im sorry for the inconvenience. I will think about the blank line edits in the future. The Stefan Löfven edit is also something I will think about so I appreciate your feedback :). Thanks again for letting me know :)--Sinbad (talk) 13:18, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
No problem. We all had to learn these things sometime. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

March 2015 change

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:21st century in Austria. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. The category has been deleted. It can be recreated when there are enough articles. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 19:42, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Updating articles change

Hi, Sinbad. I noticed the changes you made to Aram Mp3. When you update a statement that is referenced, please make sure the reference still supports the new text. In this case, you changed a statement saying that the singer was going to represent Armenia to one that said he did represent Armenia. The problem is that the reference was written before the contest, so it can't be used to say he actually did represent Armenia. For all we know from that reference, something could have happened before the contest to change that.

The best way to handle this is to find a new reference from after his performance that confirms that he sang. Another way is to change the text (as I just did) to say that he was chosen to represent Armenia. We should really have an updated reference, but at least the one we have has the information that our article says it does.

Thanks. Feel free to ask any questions you have about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:51, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

RfD nomination of Dylan Roof change

An editor has requested deletion of Dylan Roof, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2015/Dylan Roof and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much.
