You look like an experienced editor, so most of these links will probably be redundant, but figured I'd greet you anyway. If you ever need any help, you're welcome to write on my talk page. We're a pretty small community (I've been here a month and pretty much know everyone). Most of the chatter happens at Wikipedia:Simple talk. We need a lot of help developing our articles, so feel free to be bold! Again, welcome! EhJJTALK 03:23, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Portal
changeHey, I noticed you created an article called Portal:History. Unlike the English Wikipedia, we do not have any portals here on the Simple English Wikipedia. Community consensus has been that we are too small of a wiki to have portals, but consensus can change. Please, consider opening a discussion on Wikipedia:Simple talk before putting more work into this, as historically, these portals have been deleted. I can start the discussion for you, if you'd like. Thanks
changeHi, thanks for warning me about the user vandalizing. Unfortunately, I'm no longer an admin (since february 2nd) but am running an rfa which finishes tomorow. Anyway, thanks again for telling me. Kind Regards, Yottie=talk= 17:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
You are invited to join the WikiProject Famous Americans. The objective of this project is to determine what the 30-50 most important American biographies are, making sure the pages of those people are written well, and in addition serve as a one-stop shop for a 2nd or 3rd grader looking for a Famous American to do a biography report on. Please sign up with it here so it can become a full-fledged project! Purplebackpack89 (talk) 18:07, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Re: Talk:WikiProject Famous Americans
changeWashington, Jefferson, Franklin, Kennedy, Obama, and Einstein all made the original project list, which can be found (with blurbs on each) at WikiProject Famous Americans. The other people will take some effort to add to the project. I think there's several things that will help your case for these people: 1) Joining the project (which you you can do the bottom of the talk page; 2) Making a cogent argument for each on why they meet the criteria (which you can find at the top of the talk page), perhaps write sample blurbs for each, and gather consensus for their inclusion. Remember, this is not an exhaustive list, and it is not purely a "Greatest List", more a list of "Important to 2nd Graders Writing Reports about Famous Americans" list. Good luck!
