Wikipedia:Article Cup/2009
The Article Cup is an informal wikicontest. The idea of the cup is to promote article writing, by rewarding users for writing good and very good articles. The cup will start on September 7 at 00:00, UTC and end on December 7 at 23:59 UTC, a period of three months.
You may sign up as a country, state, city/state or city.

Scoring change
The scoring system works as follows:
- If you get a regular article promoted to Good Article status, you will get 5 points.
- If you get a regular article promoted to Very Good Article status, you will get 10 points.
- If you get a Good Article promoted to Very Good Article status, you will get 5 points.
- If your Good or Very Good article is included on WP:HAVE you will receive 5 bonus points.
Further bonus points may be added at the community's discretion. Likewise, penalties can also be given.
Scores change
Scores for the Article Cup are kept in the table below. For the first four columns after your name, you should simply enter the value of what you have done - i.e. if you have got one Regular Article to Good Article with a WP:HAVE Bonus, put a "1" in the respective columns. If you got the same again, just add one to the current number. For the "Other Bonuses" and "Penalties" boxes there should an explicit value. The final column will be calculated for you at 18:00 UTC each day.
