No problem! Your contributions helped out Wikipedia, usually, IPs do not make positive contributions. I am extremely proud of you. --Aaqib 23:37, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

That isn't true. Please assume good faith when dealing with IP editors. Not all of them are vandals. Your mindset, from what I've seen, seems to be that most IPs are vandals, and that is incorrect. TCN7JM 00:04, 2 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Stop snooping around. You have nothing to do with this. And I said Usually. Stop snooping around. --Aaqib 00:34, 2 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry, but I am trying to explain this to you, because you do not understand that there are more positive IPs than there are vandal IPs. Your constant reverting of things that aren't vandalism by IP editors just accentuates this. TCN7JM 00:35, 2 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Not being rude, but I totally understand. If you calculate, that there is more IP vandals. --Aaqib 00:37, 2 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your changes to Colombo change

The text you added was copied from enwiki without being simplified, and without attribution. Even though it was only part of the enwiki article, it still needed attribution. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:36, 24 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I didn't, I intentionally did that. Anyways, thanks for alerting me! --Aaqib Hola! 22:46, 24 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
It happened because you don't have created a m:Global account yet. Best regards, LlamaAl (talk) 21:13, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
I could not create a global account because in other wikis, they also have my username. And it's "because you didn't create". --Aaqib 22:11, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

You edits to articles about birds change

I noticed you added notes about books by Aaqib Farique to Tahitian Red-billed Rail, Dodo, Labrador Duck, and King Island Emu. Are you the author of that book? If so, you probably shouldn't add it, especially if you aren't using it as an inline reference. If you do use it as a specific reference, then please make a proper citation. Just adding something like "Aaqib Farique M. A. - 1st Chapter (Dodo)" doesn't give enough information for an interested editor to find the book. I am going to remove these references. Please don't put them back without complete information about the book, and without a real reason for them to be there. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:57, 24 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also, who is Aaqib Farique? Is that yourself? Please do not list yourself as a source. Chenzw  Talk  02:03, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
No, Aaqib Farique is not me. --Aaqib Hola! 16:40, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Issues with your new articles change

There are a couple of things about your new articles that needs attention.

  1. Attribution: Quite a few of your recent new articles were obviously copied from English Wikipedia, but you did not include attribution. This is very important. It is a legal requirement. Please go back and add attribution to all the articles you copied from other places.
  2. Simplification: Articles copied from English Wikipedia are often not simple enough for this wiki. This is the case with quite a few of your new articles. In the cases where you did some simplification, some of the changes you made changed the meaning of the sentences. In some cases, the new meaning was not only different, it was also wrong. In some cases, the new words didn't make sense, or were bad grammar. Here are some examples from Tahitian Red-billed Rail:
Original text Changed text Issue
It once occurred on Tahiti It once happened in Tahiti #In this case, occurred does not mean happened. (Also, you did not need to change on to in. On would refer to the island, in would refer to the country.)
one was acquired and described One was spotted and described acquired and spotted do not mean the same thing
Due to a major taxonomic mix-up Due to a major name-mix name-mix is not a word
in a major scientific work in a major scientific naming Work and naming do not mean the same thing
Little can be said about the species' disappearance. Not much info of the bird's extinction. The changed text is not a complete sentence.

Also, the entire paragraph on extinction did not make sense and was not simple.

To sum up:

  1. When you copy an article from somewhere else, you must include attribution.
  2. When you simplify something, make sure you understand what it is saying and don't change the meaning accidentally.

Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:48, 25 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

OK, Sorry for the working. --Aaqib 00:01, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I undid your change to Central Powers change

I undid this edit of yours where you reverted an IP edit. The IP was correct to remove Italy from the list of countries that made up the Central Powers. Why did you revert that change? --Auntof6 (talk) 04:53, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I looked it up in a book from a library, it said one of the Central Powers was Italy. And his change summary stated "Italy? Really?". --Aaqib 16:17, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Italy was never a part of the Central Powers. In fact, if my world history knowledge serves me correctly, they were an ally of the United States. TCN7JM 16:26, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I get it. My brother fed me wrong information! --Aaqib 17:00, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Huh? Above you said you got the info from a book. Here you say you got it from your brother. In any case, what was wrong with that edit summary? To me, it indicated that the editor saw an obvious error and was fixing it. You can't assume there was a problem with the edit just because it was from an IP.
By the way, you do not need to leave talkback messages on my talk page. When I ask a question on another editor's talk page, I watch it, so I will see any replies that way. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:57, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Because my brother researched about the Central Powers and wrote a quick summary in my book. ??? --Aaqib 21:43, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edit summary to your userpage change

Hey. I do watch your userpage, and notice you made this edit summary. Can you please explain to me when and how Chenzw was being uncivil? I am asking this out of curiosity, because I don't recall seeing anywhere this happened. TCN7JM 19:01, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Chenzw has been adding ?? questions mark which I think is negative to me. He also takes me like I have been to every wiki in the Internet. I am a newcomer. Do not make a big deal about it. I will be on a wikibreak and I will come next Monday to be refreshed. --Aaqib 21:43, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I undid your change to Typhoid change

Your change removed two things from the article. Both of the changes changes you removed were understandable, they just used advanced words. The first one used a complex term, but the term was explained in the sentences before it. The second one used a complex word, but it's better to simplify than remove, especially when the issue is just one word. I will simplify that word. --Auntof6 (talk) 21:32, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I undid your change to Camryn dennings change

Why did you change the QD reason from "non-notable person" back to "little or no information"? There is plenty of information in the article, it's just that the person isn't notable. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:31, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

You should not get into my way, its my QD. --Aaqib 23:28, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Auntof6 only corrected you because the original QD tagging was wrong. You do not OWN the QDs, anyone else can change them if they're wrong. TCN7JM 23:56, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

┌─────────────────────────────────┘
Be aware that an editor can decline the QD if you give an invalid reason like this. If it is declined, you are not allowed to put it back at all. I did not decline it, I just put a valid reason. Please justify the reason you have given. Also, please listen to Tahoma -- there is no ownership here. It is not "your" QD. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:28, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good grief guys. Aaqib, go take your wikibreak, you need it. Edit warring over a QD classification is ridiculous. The admin makes the judgment call, not you. (BTW: you don't own articles, and it being a wiki, anyone can edit it. Indeed, if I wanted to, I could just remove your QD and send it to RFD) Auntof6, thanks for trying to provide clarification to the QD, however it isn't really necessary. Admins are making the final decision. If they believe it qualifies for QD, they will just choose the reason. Griffinofwales (talk) 01:27, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

That isn't really the point here. This is an experienced user (and myself...kinda) trying to explain the QD criteria and a couple of other rules to a newer user. TCN7JM 19:55, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Active users change

I know that you are an active user on Simple English Wikipedia. Would you like to add yourself to Wikipedia:Active users? Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 18:34, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

(talk page stalker) Please note: that category should not be added directly. It is added with the template {{UserStatus}}. The category is for users who are currently online, not for users who overall make a lot of contributions. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 03:11, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Can you please explain if you were talking with me? What do I have to add to UserStatus? Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 18:22, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I was talking to both of you. It sounded like you, Reception123, didn't know what that category was for, and might be telling Aaqib to add that category directly to his user page. Aaqib did add that category directly, but I removed it from his page (and from several other user pages). --Auntof6 (talk) 21:38, 29 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ok. Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 05:13, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
Do not worry Reception, you do not have to be sorry about anything or okay about anything. If Auntof6 did not fulfill your needs, when your online and working now, you add "Category:Active Wikipedians", but when your offline, you can just take it off. Auntof6 should have notified me before. But I noticed why it was taken off earlier. --Aaqib 15:14, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yes, just please add it with the template and not directly. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:27, 1 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
