Get a life. Oregonian2012 (talk) 00:50, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
You don't have the right to talk to any user like that. I'm sorry for your personal life, but still that doesn't give you the authority to heckle people like that. You know what just go and I hope I never see you here again. I'm not sure if I'm right, but the Simple English Wikipedia doesn't tolerate users like you. I'm sure I am not the only one who is hoping that you will be suspended. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 00:55, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

September 2013 change

You have been blocked from changing pages on Wikipedia for 48 hours in line with Wikipedia's blocking policy for making personal attacks. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful changes after the block ends. If you believe this block is unfair you may ask to be unblocked by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. If you cannot do this or the reason is private please send an e-mail to simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org and an administrator will look at your reason and reply. You may want to read our guide to unblock requests before asking to be unblocked. Osiris (talk) 00:58, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I disagree with the block but I'm not coming back. It's over. Oregonian2012 (talk) 05:43, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Nelson Mandela change

At this stage in the process, edits such as this are unhelpful. I don't disagree that a source is needed, but adding a maintenance tag is not inducive to a productive atmosphere. It would be much friendlier, and helpful, to raise the issue (plus any others you may spot) on the article's talk page or at PGA. You've previously raised the issue of editing other people's articles whilst at PGA and, although not identical circumstances, it does seem a little hypocritical of you. All that said, on a much more positive note, it's good to see you back. Do you still want me to take a look at Commodore Nutt? Goblin 16:32, 7 September 2013 (UTC) I ♥ Mh7kJ!Reply

I'll get to it later today. Goblin 16:46, 7 September 2013 (UTC) I ♥ Barras!Reply
Thank you. Oregonian2012 (talk) 16:48, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I can't read your comments on the talk page because they don't appear there. I believe there is some sort of glitch. I can't read your comments to improve the article... :( --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 06:04, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Consideration change

I see that you are considering making Commodore Nutt in a VGA. Are you considering adding a DYK nomination for Nutt before it's too late. There must be some interesting facts about this great man. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 08:57, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Commodore Nutt change

I've taken the liberty of closing the above article a week early per WP:SNOW, as successful. Congratulations on your new VGA - I look forward to further articles from you. Goblin 15:23, 8 September 2013 (UTC) I ♥ Jersey!Reply

Wow! Thank you! I'm thrilled! Oregonian2012 (talk) 15:25, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Compositions by composer change

I noticed that many of the subcategories in Category:Compositions by composer have only one or two entries. I know you didn't create them all, but I was wondering if you would be interested in creating more articles for those underpopulated categories. I know you have an interest in this kind of thing. What do you think? --Auntof6 (talk) 01:37, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sure! That sounds good. I'll take a look at the category and go from there. Thanks for alerting me! Oregonian2012 (talk) 01:49, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Great! Thanks for taking off the popcat tags, too. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:15, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sure! It's moving along nicely! Oregonian2012 (talk) 04:19, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

DYK change

I feel that you, Osiris, and I are the only one contributing to the DYK section. Out of the 6 Queues, 3 of them are not in use! Now there's only three queues. We need to get the fourth one moving. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 00:09, 19 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

You should check with Goblin on this. Oregonian2012 (talk) 00:24, 19 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edward Brooke change

I simplified the article. Is there any particular section or rewording that needs to be done in order to remove that complex heading? I also have another suggestion: ...that Edward Brooke was the first African-American politician to be popularly elected to the United States Senate? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 01:01, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I added a different source about that new hook about Brooke I suggested. Is there anymore thoughts about the article and to remove that template. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 21:17, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your help change

Thanks for your help on Jean de Venette. There should be no more en:Wiki links. Auntof6 has advised me as to categories. MySweetMelissa (talk) 12:21, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

My apologies for forgetting that you are still under a ban change

This ban is still in effect. You were in violation of it when you edited Jean de Venette and User talk:MySweetMelissa. I apologize for forgetting about it and suggesting that you edit Jean de Venette. I don't know if this violation will result in any kind of sanction. If you want to ask for the ban to be lifted, you could post something at WP:AN. --Auntof6 (talk) 12:29, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I'd forgotten all about the ban. I will ask for the ban to be lifted. Thanks! Oregonian2012 (talk) 12:43, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'd show good-faith towards Oregonian and give him a chance, as it does not appear that he purposefully violated his IBAN, but he should know that next time he violates it, it could be a block. -- WorldTraveller101  T  C  G  E 22:52, 26 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Book categories change

Hi. When you create a category like Category:20th century American novels, please don't put it in Category:Novels by nationality. The "20th century" part is not related to nationality, so such a category should just be in Category:American novels. Also, anything under Category:American novels, for example, does not need to be directly in Category:Fiction books because Category:American novels is already under that category (a couple of levels down). Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:17, 1 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

RfD nomination of Goose (prank) change

An editor has requested deletion of Goose (prank), an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2013/Goose (prank) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Osiris (talk) 08:28, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Brian Sims DYK change

Hi Oregonian2012...since you were the author and nominator of Brian Sims, I figured I'd bring this to you: the link used as a source for the DYK fact is not loading (http://www.outsports.com/os/index.php/component/content/article/43-2009/228-former-college-football-captain-was-openly-gay). I did find an article with the same name on the same site (http://www.outsports.com/out-gay-athletes/2013/2/21/4015526/brian-sims-football-gay) but it does not mention him being the only gay captain in history. Can you help find a better/working source? Otherwise, we may have to remove it from DYK. Only (talk) 18:05, 6 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

QD declined on Shakespeare characters change

I am declining your QDs on Romeo and Juliet characters. Some of them deserve their own articles. For the ones that don't, the pages can be redirects instead. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:59, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I don't think this is a good idea. It causes those interested to skip all around the site looking for these characters. The audience for this sort of thing is high schoolers. For their convenience the character bios should be on one page. And there's no reason to write up minor characters like "a Servant" or "a Flute-player". I think this should go to community consensus at Simple Talk. Oregonian2012 (talk) 02:08, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I didn't mean to do away with the list. The list can exist with brief info about each character, and it can link to whatever individual articles exist. For example, Romeo and Juliet are iconic characters that deserve their own articles, but they can also be on the list. That's commonly done with fictional characters. If you want to take it to Simple Talk, feel free. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:33, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level change

How are you getting the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level because I'm curious if I can do that to my hooks, so that I can simplify more. It would cause less stress on me and help the DYK community a lot (preventing arguments that is). Is there anyway we can settle our differences and well be friends again... --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 21:34, 10 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wizard of Oz actors change

Hello, Oregonian2012. There's been a lot of work involved in patrolling new pages today, and I'd appreciate your help with some of yours:

These articles are hardly worth keeping. Could you please add a bit more information to them? Regards, Osiris (talk) 04:05, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

A response with your intentions would be helpful, so that I know whether I need to set aside some time to fix them up. I know that I've raised this sort of thing with you before... Osiris (talk) 11:40, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I've been meaning to review them for a while now, but just haven't been able to secure the time. I'll try to get to them this weekend. Osiris (talk) 12:04, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I made some comments on Talk:Jumbo. It took me a long time to get through the first four sections, so I'm leaving you with that for now. Osiris (talk) 09:14, 15 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

DYK remiders change

Hello, Oregonian. Again reminding you of this in regards to this and these notices in regards to this – additionally, on the latter, nominations need to remain there "for a minimum of three days". Osiris (talk) 04:20, 15 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

DYK value judgments change

Your recent votes at DYK are inappropriate. You are placing value judgments that are not covered by the guidelines. I do not know what your issue with other people's hooks are, but you are finding ways to nitpick every single hook that is nominated. Please be more collaborate rather than challenging every hook and comment that people make. Talking about people's race and ethnicity in a hook is not inappropriate. We have one in the queue right now, for example. Why is it okay to talk about someone's sexuality (your Bobby Sims hook, the current Frank Kameny hook on the front page), but not ethnicity? Only (talk) 22:00, 16 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

RfD on The Bowling Alley Cat change

Hey, Oregonian, I added a couple of other T&J episodes to this request. Since you had already weighed in, would you mind saying on the RfD page whether you're also in favor of deleting the two I added? They have the same amount of information as the original one. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:00, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for one week change

In light of your continued comments and harassment of other members, I have blocked you for a week. Your commentary and attacks on other users is unwelcome here as has been explained to you and as evidenced by your previous blocks. If you wish to request an unblock, you may place {{unblock}} on your talk page. Only (talk) 23:57, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oversight change

The user asked for an unblock, however he continued to libel and abuse other editors, requiring the comments to be deleted per oversight rules. The unblock was denied by Auntof6, and the ban still stands.--Peterdownunder (talk) 07:09, 21 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
