Just so you know, there is an error on your meta user page. The images for English, Commons, and Simple are linked to User:Cactus007, not to yourself. --Andrew from NC (talk) 08:48, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Move

Does Simple not support moving pages? I have been editing since 17:41, July 18, 2008 and I still get no "move" tabs.--Carlaude (talk) 13:48, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Did I miss anything

Hello, when you look at this template to be, do you miss any major Christian movements? - If so, please tell me. Thanks. --Eptalon (talk) 17:15, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, not that I can see. Jehovah's Witnesses aren't exactly mainstream Christianity, I'd say that they're a4. At least from what I've been taught, learned, and heard about. But no, I don't see any major ones missed. -- American Eagle (talk) 17:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your use of rollback

Hi there. I've noticed a few instances of your use of the rollback tool in which you use it to rollback your own changes. The rollback tool should only be used in cases of vandalism, and if you are just reverting one of your own changes, then there is no need to use the rollback tool. In that case, and the cases that I have shown above (where you use it for reverting your own changes), you should use the undo tool. Remember that little tool? Hope this helps you even more now Mr. Admin :) Cheers, Razorflame 00:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I only remember doing it once, my last edit, in fact. But I'll remember to do. Thanks -- American Eagle (talk) 01:02, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
No. Rollback is not just for vandalism, but for ease of reverting edits of all kinds. Self reverts, especially, aren't a problem with using rollback. Majorly talk 01:53, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Request

It seems that you are very knowledgable in the uses of collapsable navigational boxes, so I believe that I will ask you this: Can you streamline my userpage? Just make it smaller and more compact while keeping the page virtually the same? Except for the first section, I think that my userboxes could all be under one navbox, and each section after that could probably be placed under a navbox as well. I'll let you decide how to break it up :) Cheers, Razorflame 01:06, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I doodled with the "Barnstars" section. Tell me what you think. -- American Eagle (talk) 01:40, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Looks fine from what I can tell. Only thing is, it doesn't look to be collapsable...maybe it is on the main page, but maybe not. Let me go check. Cheers, Razorflame 01:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
  The Special Barnstar
For work done on my userpage, I hereby pronounce you man and barnstar! Cheers! Razorflame 04:00, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rename request

I have completed the requested rename (American EBot -> AE). The double redirect from the talk page was fixed although I did not check to see if there were any links to the old name to require keeping the redirects. I also removed the bot tag from the user page as the account is no longer being used as a bot. You may want to either redirect the page or leave a breif comment as to the intended use of the account. -- Creol(talk) 19:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Thanks. I deleted the AEBot thing, I never signed or really ever edited with it. Thanks -- American Eagle (talk) 00:54, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Romania

Guess what? I have decided to chug away at this article and get it ready for a GA review within a few days (yes, days).  :) I have been working away at this article for probably 3-4 hours already, and I will continue to work away at it for a few more hours :) I hope to get the History section completed today :)

There are a few things that I would like to ask you do:

  1. . Can you look through the article (after I get the History section done), and find references for the {{fact}} templates on that article?
  2. . History of Romania could be simplified :)

Thanks for the help, Razorflame 20:39, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alright, here are some references for you: highest mountain lowest temperature and sub-replacement fertility rates. You're in the process of working on the article, and my computer now won't let me read them again (very annoying), so you look them over and add where necessary (I'll try to get more later). Cheers -- American Eagle (talk) 21:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Warner

Hi AE. Just checking over Kurt's article. The 2000 season section doesn't mention him at all so could you change that? The Rambling Man (talk) 14:55, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, I think the "rating" needs explanation or linking? The Rambling Man (talk) 14:57, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I added him to the 2000 season, I had accidentally taken him out of the section because it said was some unneeded stats. I added to it and linked the term. Thanks for all your work on it and it's great to see you back. Cheers -- American Eagle (talk) 16:49, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. Good to be back. I just hope we can try to salvage the GA/VGA systems so we can continue to improve the Wikipedia. Keep up your good work! The Rambling Man (talk) 16:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Borrow

Why have you marked my revision of this article as patrolled? --Terryblack (talk) 18:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Err, you mean marked as patrolled. Umm, I don't remember doing it, but I'm guessing that if I did it that I was marking as not-vandalism. I think that's what you meant. Thanks --American Eagle (talk) 22:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Huge thanks

For rollbacking all of Kotla Mohsin Khan (talk · contribs)'s edits. I had dropped a note on TBC's user talk since I didn't want to have to hunt through the histories of every page that he had vandalized to use the undo function. Cassandra 06:01, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've felt that way before. But now that I became a Sysop, I don't worry about being the first to revert, as long as all is taken care of, it works for me. Cheers -- American Eagle (talk) 00:54, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Television programme

Please leave Television programme where it is. Over 250 page link to the British spelling while only 30 some link to the US spelling. Pages should not be moved just because of which spelling a particular editor prefers. Them pesky Brits beat us to creating it, so they get to keep it spelled funny and we just have to accept that. :) -- Creol(talk) 17:56, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh yes. I keep seeing and creating redirects, as well as other things, and having it different on EN is a bit annoying at times. But will do. -- American Eagle (talk) 22:13, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Err, that makes no sense. What's really dumb is that there should be know "me" at the end, and it is not said centre - it is center. But anyway, I'll live with it. Thanks -- American Eagle (talk) 00:54, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletion summary

(replying to Cassandra's comment, but related to your comment) Well, it gives non-admins (who can't view deleted edit histories) an idea of why the article was deleted. Especially if it's a non-obvious entry like Hydroelectric dam. Had the remark been an attack, I would have certainly cleared it. But the remark wasn't directed to any person in particular, so there's not much to worry about (unless of course, hydroelectric dams have emotions and lawyers). :) --TBC 01:09, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Switch

#switch will use its default value for any case where the compared value does not equal one of the list of values it is given. While using the default is normally considered as when it is set up for inputs (1,2,3) and it gets an input of 'Q', the default is also used when it input does not exist.

{{ #switch: {{{variable}}}|1=yes|2=no|3=maybe|Invalid answer }}

This should solve 95% of the issues with using it. For that little 5% where the default can't be used (valid inputs (a,d,g), invalid inputs (anything else), no inputs ("hey bonehead, you forgot an input!"), #if statements can be used to decide if the variable is not null before applying the switch:

{{#if: (((variable|}}} |you forgot something|{{#switch:{{{variable}}}|1=yes|2=no|thats not a one or a two.}} }}

Hope this solves your problem. -- Creol(talk) 06:49, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

(unindent) 'Right wing cabal?' That was laughable to be honest. F S M 21:05, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

While you can laugh all you want, FSM, it is not very unrealistic considering that we allow editors to privately use IRC (things sich as Swirlboy's Private Channel and Razorflame telling people to join IRC). All people don't have access to IRC, and in some places, there is no access to IRC (such as at work). There is no transparency when people are allowed to declare a matter confidential and discuss it on IRC only. Thus, the probablity for cliques to form. — Jonas Rand · (talk) 21:36, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
There's a difference between complaining someone uses IRC too much and accusing them of being a 'right wing cabal'. WP:PAD

Hey AE, you actively supported the demotion of two articles at WP:PAD. Some considerable effort has gone into modifying both articles. Could you please return there and re-assess? PAD is poorly used right now, it'd be useful to clear the decks and redefine its usage - the original demotion proposals took place in July, they should have been resolved by early August, not still be on-going in mid-October. Oppose next time

The message you sent seem to mean for the Opposition list, so please move it to the opposition list of the United States here: Wikipedia:Proposed very good articles. 24.1.4.241 (talk) 20:59, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I just moved it to a new "comment" section. The article has so much work to do, so it seemed really strange to me. Sorry if I offended you! God bless, American Eagle (talk) 21:17, 16 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
