It should be noted that I created Category:Super Nintendo Entertainment System games for the SNES games, and Category:Mario platform games and Category:Mario video games exist to catalog the small number of games that we have articles on. I think you might want to hold off on replicating en's VG style. so far it's a project with only two people in it, and Simple is not in WP:1.0, so it's not as if there's a pressing priority to categorize and rank the quality of the articles. Cassandra 01:35, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, according to the English Wiki - and I'm not saying we should do everything as en.wiki does, but I think that this wiki should make it a policy to give preference to the first game unless the series is so exceptionally more well-known - for example, The Sims should be about the series, since the series itself is more popular than the first game. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:02, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Think maybe you're going a little overboard...what is the liklihood that someone searches Animal Crossing (DS)? I can see without the parentehses, sure. And what is the likelihood of someone searching the exact Japanese title of Brain Age, with all the Japanese scripting? I dunno, I think it may overdoing it. Your recent category creations.

Like the cancelled video games one. There was only one page in that category, so it's kind of extraneous. Just hold on for some time; they'll eventually get populated. I'm in a similar situation in trying to populate movie categories from en since we remove most of them when creating the articles here.
