Re: link change on simple.wikipedia
changeDidn't realize I was on simple.wiki. Will re-creating a page from English Wiki content on Simple (according to Simple guidelines) be appropriate course of action instead of linking? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Стопервый (talk • contribs)

Signature
change== Signature == Hey Chenzw how do u make a good signature. Maybe after commenting on a person's talk page right below it, it shows your username right? So how do u make a more unique one. Trunzep 13:55, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- One way is to use colours or different fonts. This requires an understanding of HTML. The steps for configuring a custom signature can be found on this page. Chenzw Talk 15:53, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Israel
changeHi, Chenzw:
I've noticed a little uptick in vandalism on the Israel article. It's not a ton, of course, but Israel's Independence Day (Yom Ha'atzmaut) is a week from Thursday. I wonder if we shouldn't semiprotect just for a couple of weeks. StevenJ81 (talk) 21:31, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, as of right now there is not enough recent vandalism for a page protection. That said, I have added the page to my watchlist, and will protect once the vandalism becomes more prevalent. Chenzw Talk 22:42, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Bot not emergency shutoff-compliant?
changeForgive me if this is a stupid question, but why is ChenzwBot not shutoff-compliant? There seems to be a big button in the middle of the page labeled "Emergency shutoff." which I presume shuts off the bot. Hobbes Novakoff (talk) 02:42, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- That is actually just a link to block the bot from editing. Shutoff-compliance requires another way to inform the bot to shutdown, and for the bot to respect that command and stop whatever it is doing cleanly. Chenzw Talk 03:53, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
- Ah. I see. Thanks. Hobbes Novakoff (talk) 15:36, 5 May 2016 (UTC)

regarding article
changeThe original writings of Josephus, one in the Smithsonian and the one in the musuem in England, both state clearly Jesus was born in 2 BC, the copies in print and available the past 400+ years have it incorrect ly printed in the copies as 4BC. 2 BC makes sense following that date with the scriptures, and His childhood, Jesus was born in mid September according to various reliable sources., but 2BC was the year according to Josephus's original writing. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.175.60.69 (talk • contribs)

changeHi, I recently updated the 2015-16 Premier league season in Simple English and I believe you have changed it back. That took me a while to do and it was genuine information I was adding, not vandalism.

instead. This is normal in HTML5. [21]

Kind of confused.
changeHello. I am doing this on my phone (out of pure desperation) and am not sure how it will turn out. Alas. What exactlyis your problem? Im not doing anything wrong. Im contributing to si.ple wikipedia which is kind of the whole point of the site is it not?! I would have said this on my talk page but as you blocked me obviously i can't. I feel this is almost personal now. I am a person you know? The Noailles pages i made are relevant and useful as well as good. I just dont get this. Its silly now. 89.243.44.45 (talk) 16:55, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- You are not allowed to edit, ever, as long as there is an outstanding block against you. You are not allowed to edit even while logged out. To request unblock, either use the {{unblock}} template or email the administrators at simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org. Chenzw Talk 02:07, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
I have requested an unblock three times in the past week. Yet had no response. Im sure youd understand that is a tiny bit frustrating ie feeling totally ignored. Please just be of some help. :/ 2.97.229.35 (talk) 11:09, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- I don't see any unblock request anywhere. Unblock requests must be initiated by {{unblock}}, and not by editing articles. Chenzw Talk 11:31, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
- Again. You are not listening to me. I cannot edit my own talk page can I. Due to someone (I forget the name) spitefully snatching that away from me. Hence anonymous IP addresses. I'll say it again to make sure it is emphasised. I cannot edit my own talk page in order to put the unblock template there. Please just help me. I don't want to feel like a begging 6 year old.
AND as I have also said I've emailed the email you offered and have had nothing back. What am I supposed to do rather than directly contact a person who is supposed to help others.
92.24.35.154 (talk) 15:27, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- As I said, unblock requests must be initiated by {{unblock}}, and not by editing articles. If you really want to request unblock and don't want to have the privilege of editing your own talk page removed, then you'd best only edit your own talk page, and nothing else. Chenzw Talk 16:00, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
- But that is the point. I can't edit my OWN talk page in order to ASK TO BE UNBLOCKED. That ability was ripped away from me. And as I said I emailed that address you gave me and had nothing back. What am I supposed to do? Considering I've done little wrong except edit pasges of a website that claims to be for everyone? Why am I being punished? I just require a tiny bit of help. 92.24.41.198 (talk) 10:47, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Are you trying to tell me that while logged out, you can't edit the user talk page of your IP address? Because it seems that you are perfectly able to leave messages on other editors' talk pages, and even able to edit articles. Since your previous two accounts were globally locked (which as administrators over here, we have no control over the locking/unlocking process), leave your unblock request on your own IP's talk page. Hello
changeGreetings. Blocked or not the edit I made on Marie Christine de Rouvroy's page was and is perfectly valid as well as useful. Don't be a vandal. You are an admin are you not? Do you make a habit of reverting perfectly constructive edits of others? Don't be spiteful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.42.189 (talk • contribs)
- You seem to be mistaken here. Your privilege to edit has been removed. If you are evading your block, policy allows for all edits which you make thereafter to be reverted. If you are serious on contributing, request for an unblock first. Chenzw Talk 01:55, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
