Hazard-Bot removing interwiki links
Hi, unless you are running the interwiki bot in manual mode, please do not allow it to remove interwiki links (do not run it with -force). A few of the bot's edits had to be reverted. Chenzw Talk 05:41, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
- OK, sorry. Hazard-SJ ㋡ 05:54, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Clarify
Hi Hazard! :) Could you please clarify what unwanted links you were seeing before this edit? Thanks, Osiris (talk) 05:49, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
- I don't exactly remember, but it left a link to a non-existent template on some category pages. Hazard-SJ ㋡ 03:55, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Big Airport Weekend - January 20-23
We want to invite you to participate in the Big Airport Weekend on Jan 20-23. (See: WP:Big Weekend) The purpose of this weekend is to improve SEWP's coverage of airports and airport related articles. A few tasks and guidelines:
- Add {{Infobox airport}} to all airport articles
- To improve existing articles and stubs in the Category:Airports including subcategories.
- To add new articles on airports. (Any airport with regular commercial service or where a historic event happened is notable enough for an article.)
- Airports can be civilian, military, and anywhere in the world.
- Add BAW (for Big Airport Weekend) to the edit summaries to help keep track of the changes.
- Please use the {{inuse}} template to avoid edit conflicts with other BAW participants.
Barnstars will be liberally rewarded for your airport efforts. Let me know if you have any questions. Please join us to have fun and to improve SEWP. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 19:15, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
- I hope I'll be available :P Hazard-SJ ㋡ 03:55, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with tracing down problems after the 1.19 rollout. It has really helped us make sure the site operates smoothly.
I'd like to contact you in the future if that is alright. If you happen to be on IRC, I'm "hexmode" on freenode.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns. -- ☠MarkAHershberger☢(talk)☣ 21:35, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the catch!
Sorry, Hazard-SJ - I appreciate you dropping in and catching the note I left in #wikipedia-simple. The problem I have is that my wifi is so bad at nights, I can use IRC or Wikipedia, but not both at the same time... I dropped out of the channel so I could do the work here, but I really thank you for picking up where my net clearly fails! BarkingFish (talk) 00:36, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Re: Unicode fixes per request at the English Wikipedia
Thanks for your reply. Wish u will always guide us like that. The unicode fixes done by you on the Assmamese wikipedia, was not helpful for us (most probably you too noticed that, because I have seen those page again reverted back to earlier position). We have both the character "ত" and "ৎ", and every ত is not ৎ as your bot did.
Yes the | → । will damage the wiki pages if it can't run properly, the Ucodebot was different from that side, as I observed. I think it will be better to run the bot by us if it possible. And in every pages it is not necessary to run the bot. Regards. Bishnu Saikia Talk 10:54, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Endeavor (non-profit) edits
The updates I am making to Endeavor's wikipedia page keep getting reverted. All of this content comes directly from Endeavor.org and any information is removed only because it is outdated. The edits reflect Endeavor most accurately and should be able to hold.

Not a mistake
I changed the page "cattle" because the material I removed was inappropriate. It was a description of the appropriate ways to use the word "cattle" in the English language. That is a "how-to" description, and is thus inappropriate for Wikipedia, which is an Encyclopedia not a manual. Furthermore, the description of how to use a word is lexical, not encyclopedic, knowledge. It is inappropriate to have a dictionary-esque description of how to use the word "cattle" in an Encyclopedia. On a more personal note, you did two things wrong. You reversed my edit, then you told me you did it. The first thing made this encyclopedia worse, the second thing made my experience worse--it discouraged me from making future edits by implying I am incompetent. I hope you do better in the future. 72.184.141.122 (talk) 10:17, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. I apologize if you feel bitten, but as for the two things you say I have done wrong:
- Reverting your edit: I wouldn't expect that someone would take out part of a sentence without even bothering to fix the end of it and leave it like that. It would have been far more helpful and avoidable if you had used a change summary from the first edit.
- Generally, we make users aware of any form of reverting their edits.
"User warnings are meant to guide good-faith testers and dissuade bad-faith vandals." —WP:UW
- As a result, I express that it isn't a matter of me doing "better", but rather, of you ensuring that you check your own changes. I'd also like to add that you didn't re-remove the content until almost two days after I notified you, suggesting that the change might have remained for an even longer time, considering you wouldn't have been notified. Interwiki question
Hi Hazard. I have a list of pages that each contain an interwiki link to their version on enwiki. In some cases, the pages on enwiki will already be connected to an item on Wikidata, in other cases the items don't exist yet. If I give you (or another bot op, if you're too busy) the list, will you be able to migrate the interwikis to Wikidata? It's only about 500 pages at the moment... Osiris (talk) 17:57, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, I'm up for it. Hazard-SJ ✈ 01:35, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
- Really? That'd be a great help! I wasn't sure whether it was possible yet with the new setup, and it'd be a huge hassle to do it manually. All the pages are from the template namespace; so far, I'm working backwards on this list of pages -- those from the first list that are not yet connected to Wikidata but have interwiki links to enwiki are on the talk page - here. There's no hurry, I just really didn't want to do it manually. Osiris (talk) 07:34, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
