Stub Sorting

Hey Megan!

Thanks for your help with stub sorting - it's really appreciated! However, would it be possible to ask you to sort stubs other than bio-stubs for the time being? My stub-sorting bot is currently running/trialling on bio-stubs and is motoring through fairly quickly, so it may be better to do another type of stub for the time being? Thanks for understanding.

  • As it belongs to this: When you do so many stub sorting, would you mind requesting the flood/bot flag. There are always admins around even if they don't not edit (PeterSymonds, Juliancolton, me)? You can just ping one on his/her talk page. Another way would be to jump on IRC (#wikipedia-simple). Kind regards Barras talk 22:10, 2 January 2010 (UTC) PS: Peter did it already ;) I was too slow in writing this message. --Barras talk 22:11, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Me again! Keep up the great work on the stub sorting :D Just thought i'd let you know the bot is now working on {{geo-stub}}, but as there are so many it is probably useful for both to do it. Nice work on creating {{tl|Belgium-stub} too btw, that's the next job, sub-categorisation! I've also created {{tech-stub}} and tagged {{asteroid-stub}} for deletion. How can i make this up to you, Megan? Really terribly sorry, and many of the users want me gone from SEW, they reported me to vandalism consul. --Icek863 (talk) 22:24, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA

Hi Megan McCarty. I'm sorry to close your RfA as unsuccessful, since you have withdrawn. I encourage you to return soon after your wikibreak and either continue editing the way you have before (I have no objection to that, we need editors of all kinds), or get more involved in our community and I'm sure, with some time, that you'll be able to pass a future RfA. All the best, EhJJTALK 18:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry that it didn't go your way. Hope to see you back at RFA soon enough :) --Gordonrox24 | Talk 20:09, 10 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thank you for explaining it in Nifky's talk page. (About Classical Esther). Groooan. Our family has three sisters: Esther, me, and little Eunice. Well, Eunice and I are the mischievous ones, but Eunice is the most mischievous. Please believe me, though it may sound very annoying...Eunice has played a trick on me. Ah, I am well punished! Once I played a joke on Esther..actually, I pretended to be another user and complimented her on her talk page, just to please her and let her make a "friend". But Esther found out, became very angry at me, and I almost got blocked on the accusation of using sockpuppets. I was very confused and repentant. And now here is Eunice impersonating me!..Nobody else knows my nickname, H. Ettiocs, except for her. Well anyway, thank you ever so much for showing me. Now the only thing left for me to do is to explain to Nifky, and punch my sister into a pulp...:) Best Regards, Pretty Lydie (talk) 06:39, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delicious.

Hello, Megan! I'm sorry you're taking a wikibreak--you're really missed. Too bad your RFA was closed as unsuccessful; if I had known, I would have supported you. It's so refreshing to see such a civil, accomplished, and kind homeschooled Wikipedian! (I'm homeschooled too.) In any case, thank you for always being so nice to me, and now...

Classical Esther has given you some cookies! Now enjoy them!

Hope you come back soon, Megan!

Yours sincerely and respectfully, Classical Esther 03:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Beautiful, kind Megan!

I was so eager to see you, I checked your talkpage everyday most disappointedly to see you on a wikibreak. So happy and overjoyed I am that now you are back and working on Wikipedia! I hope you aren't annoyed at me for bothering you? But, you are so kind and helpful, I could not help but miss you so much and dearly. Please don't go on a wikibreak so long - it nearly tortures me! Well, then, please keep in your mind that there is absolutely nobody so fervent, loving, and missing you as
Yours most happily, relievedly, and joyfully,
Belinda Lydia Tilney (talk) 05:43, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dear Megan

Hello, Megan! I beg your pardon for bothering you again: I merely thought it was incumbent upon me, as you were the original writer of Monarch (butterfly), to tell you that I proposed your article to be a good article, that you may follow the discussions here. I hope it succeeds, you wrote it beautifully. Heaven bless you! Classical Esther 06:22, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hello, and have a happy valentines day!!

Happy Valentine's day, beautiful Megan!!

I pray that you'll be blessed, and that you'll recieve a thousand boxes of chocolates--not to doubt, you'll probably have a thousand admirers :)!! By the way, I sent you an email, I hope you'll read it!!

Yours ever-admiringly, Belle (talk) 08:25, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations

Thank you ever so much for the beautiful barnstar, tho' I am unworthy of it! I am exceedingly happy that it was promoted. You did such a good job on it, there was very little for me to do.   I hope you keep up the good work and thanks once again! Yours sincerely and gratefully, Classical Esther 05:23, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Monarch

Well done on your hard work on the butterfly article. Feel free to let me know if you're going to nominate another one! All the best, The Rambling Man (talk) 18:07, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lovely to see this article promoted! and thank you for the Barnstar! I'm not sure what I did to deserve it!
My sons and I have reared (if you could call it that) Monarch butterflies on two occasions at two different locations. The first was in a tiny backyard of a little terrace house in Sydney. There were so many caterpillars on our milkweed plant, which was quite large to start with, that they stripped it bare. They attached to the rough wood of a paling fence to make cocoons. We separated about a dozen from the fence, attached the silk to a bare branch and stood it in a vase on the kitchen table, where it looked like some rare Christmas decoration. Eventually they emerged, over a couple of weeks. One day we had four butterflies flying around the kitchen. The most remarkable thing was that they seemed to bond with us, probably by smell, as while they were drying, they would perch on our fingers. The outcome was that when we were out in the yard, they would suddenly fly over the fence and perch on us. The strangest thing was that they would fly out of the night sky on summer evenings when I was watching the stars, and land on me. I wonder if this sort of bonding behaviour has been recorded or studied?Amandajm (talk) 11:44, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

IRC

I'm very sorry about the disconnection that suddenly happened. My computer does not seem to work in that site, and neither does any other computers in my house. :( I hope we can talk later... Maybe tomorrow. Belinda 12:28, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Epping Ongar Railway

Hey Megan,

You reviewed Epping Ongar Railway as a PVGA candidate for me the other day. I've now fixed your concerns and wondered if you would be able to take another look over the article.

Thanks!
