Adding "no sources" tags
When you find a page with no sources, and that page is about a living person, please use {{BLP unsourced}} instead of {{No sources}}. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 03:58, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your valuable advice.--Pratyya (Hello!) 04:00, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Please use that only for pages about living people! I undid your change to Jenny Lind because she is not living. Don't feel bad -- I've made that same mistake myself! --Auntof6 (talk) 05:40, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi Pratyya. Would you please also keep in mind that the {{no sources}}
tag should only be used if you're actually challenging the factual accuracy of the information. On River mouth, for exampe, were you actually challenging the accuracy of that basic definition? If not, then the author didn't really need to source it, because it's pretty much common knowledge. Wikipedia:No original research states: ...all material added to articles must be attributable to a reliable published source, even if not actually attributed. The verifiability policy says that an inline citation to a reliable source must be provided for [...] anything challenged or likely to be challenged—but a source must exist even for material that is never challenged. For example: the statement: "Paris is the capital of France" needs no source, because no one is likely to object to it and we know that sources exist for it. The statement is attributable, even if not attributed. It's not a big deal, and I've added a citation anyway, but just in case you aren't actually challenging statements, you don't need to tag them. Quick deletion of Category:India geography stubs
The page you wrote, Category:India geography stubs, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Auntof6 (talk) 02:45, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
Maybe you didn't know, but here we do not create new stub templates or categories without discussing them first. I have redirected the template and asked for the category to be deleted. Please see Wikipedia:Simple Stub Project#New stubs for more information. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 02:51, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
