Enwp based change
I noticed you had previously mentioned malformed {{Enwp based}} templates per this search. Has there been any discussion or action about this? Looks like something went wrong at some point and this should be fixed. EhJJTALK 00:27, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, mentioned it on irc too, but nobody seemed very interested. I think the template is used incorrectly on some pages (it might have been correct before, but isn't anymore). Unfortunately I'm not a template expert. Anyone good in that area? Yottie =talk= 11:45, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Ref name change

Purplebackpack Challenge Cup change
Three weeks into the Purplebackpack Challenge Cup, and several editors are off to a good start. Barras has a commanding lead in the Plum Division with 135.5 points, Yottie leads the Royal Division with 68.5 points, and PiRSquared17 and Kansan are also off to good starts. However, several editors have yet to claim any points at all! In addition, none of you have claimed a GA, VGA or the Edison bonus, bonuses that could break this competition wide. French Templates change
Yottie;
In the Wanted templates list there are two templates, Template:Département Haute-Garonne and Template:Département Charente listed (currently 2 and 3). I have tracked them down to Template:FraAbbr. FraAbbr is a giant switch statement, and the last two lines are looking for the above two templates. So far, I have not found any pages that call FraAbbr with either value. It seems this came from enwp. They deleted the two templates (see en:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2010_May_3#Template:D.C3.A9partement_Charente), and replaced them with image links in . We do not use either image on simple.
Do you see any problem deleting these two lines of code from the template or replacing them with the image links. I'm afraid my high school French has failed me. I just don't remember any of this. Thanks for any help you can provide.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 23:34, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

- Hi. I believe after a discussion with the community, we stopped the creation of stubs en-masse by bots. You can create them manually, but I advise you to expand the existing ones first, or else we will only be expanding the long list of stubs on SEWP. We use images from Wikimedia Commons, but this does not have album covers. There is currently a discussion to change our policy. You can find it here, and add your own opinion. Weekend suggestion change
Hi Yottie, we should have another Big Weekend. There was a suggestion made on Simple talk that we needed to do something about capital cities. So I propose we have a Capital Weekend. This could/should also include state capitals etc. It could also include articles about things in the capital, so an article on the Eiffel Tower for example would be suitable because it is in Paris. The goal would be to make sure that every city has an article, with relevant data, references, photo, probably an info box. Another goal would be to get all these articles to better than stub class. If editors added "CW" (Capital Weekend) in the edit summary we would know how many articles were started or improved. Thoughts? --Peterdownunder (talk) 10:03, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Counting problem change
Hi Yottie, we had quite a few Big Weekend edits. Unfortunately I was in hospital and did not do much. However, the problem is I was not able to keep a count during the weekend, so I do not know how many edits were done. The New Changes will not let me go back more than 500 edits, which is not far enough. I remember someone who new a way to get around this, but I have searched and can't find it in the archives. I am happy to count the changes manually, if I could get back far enough. I made the first edit at (UTC) 22.54 on 24 November, 2011. Big Airport Weekend - January 20-23 change
We want to invite you to participate in the Big Airport Weekend on Jan 20-23. (See: WP:Big Weekend) The purpose of this weekend is to improve SEWP's coverage of airports and airport related articles. A few tasks and guidelines:
- Add {{Infobox airport}} to all airport articles
- To improve existing articles and stubs in the Category:Airports including subcategories.
- To add new articles on airports. (Any airport with regular commercial service or where a historic event happened is notable enough for an article.)
- Airports can be civilian, military, and anywhere in the world.
- Add BAW (for Big Airport Weekend) to the edit summaries to help keep track of the changes.
- Please use the {{inuse}} template to avoid edit conflicts with other BAW participants.

IEP 2.0 proposal change
I regret that I couldn't join you in agreeing to the IEP 2.0 proposal. If we re-visit this in future, maybe it will play out differently.
As the IEP 2.0 discussion winds down, it may be timely to contrast and compare an SEWP pilot program in Japan.
I mentioned it here, but two sentences may have been overlooked in the wall of words:
- "... a very different kind of strategy has marked the development of a pilot SEWP program at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) here and here. Strategic planning and context-building here and here were quite distinct from the IEP 2.0 proposal."
