New stub templates change

Hello, and welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. I noticed that you created some stub templates. You probably didn't know, but on this Wikipedia, new stub types (including templates and categories) need to be approved at Wikipedia talk:Simple Stub Project. Because the ones you created weren't approved, they have been deleted.

If you would like to know about other things that are different here, you can look at this list that I have. The list itself is unofficial, but it links to some relevant policies and guidelines. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:17, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • No problem. You weren't the first to do that, and I'm sure you won't be the last. (I may even have done it myself when I was new here!) People often don't know about everything that's different here. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:21, 26 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

January 2023 change

Hello, Carhles! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Tony Graziani". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! ty much love, will use in the future Carhles (talk) 04:44, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

RfD nomination of Template:Buffalo Bills roster navbox change

An editor has requested deletion of Template:Buffalo Bills roster navbox, a page you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2023/Template:Buffalo Bills roster navbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Auntof6 (talk) 01:39, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

New articles change

Thanks for creating all those new articles about football players. I especially thank you for not creating all of them as stubs. Too many articles here are stubs instead of including all relevant information.

I have a couple of comments about the articles you created, and for ones you create in the future:

  • Please review how to write in simple language here. Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages can help with that. This wiki's whole purpose is to write in simple language for people who aren't good in English. I just did some simplifying on Josh Allen (quarterback), so you can look at what I did to get ideas about this. One specific thing I'll mention is sentence structure. Try to have only one verb in each sentence, to make the sentences easier to read for people who are learning English. You can see examples of this in the changes I did and in the page I linked above.
  • The first time you mention a university, let the whole name of it be seen instead of shortening it. For example, you linked the University of Wyoming as Wyoming. Many of our readers won't understand that in the context of sports it's common to refer to a university by just its location.
  • Please include a defaultsort in each article, so that the article will appear in the correct place in categories.

Thanks again, and if you have questions about any of this, feel free to ask. -- Auntof6 (talk) 19:41, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

February 2023 change

Please stop making bad pages. If you continue, you will be blocked from changing and creating pages on Wikipedia. Operator873 connect 23:47, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Operator873 connect 23:48, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Bad pages change

Please stop copying articles from the English Wikipedia. You are creating a lot of debt this community will have to pay cleaning up the mess you're making. This is a much different project from English Wikipedia and I strongly suggest you stop and review the message Auntof6 left for you above. The next step is a block to protect the project. Template:State of the Union change

{{State of the Union}} has a lot of links to simple.wikisource, but there isn't a Simple English Wikisource, so the links go nowhere. Did you want to link to the English Wikisource? Lights and freedom (talk) 01:31, 9 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

New templates change

Hi, Carhles. I was looking at the list of unused templates, and I noticed quite a few templates there that you created. When you create a template, please make sure that it is used somewhere. The ones I see right not are either unused, or are linked only on the "See also" section of other templates. (An example of the latter is Template:2003 NFC South standings.) If the templates remain unused, they might be deleted, so please make sure you create templates only when they are going to be used right away. Thanks. Auntof6 (talk) 20:07, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. I noticed that the templates I mentioned above still aren't being used (you haven't made any changes here since I left the message above). Please look — Preceding unsigned comment added by Auntof6 (talkcontribs) 20:16, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
