Wikicup Notice
Hello TrueCRaysball/Archive. We have come to a conclusion after dicussing the way points should be counted. You must make a page were you keep record of your edits. It should look like this and it should be called user:TrueCRaysball/Archive/Wikicup Edit Count. It will be checked by our judges to make sure there is no cheating. If we find that there was a very large margin of error, you will be disqualified. Remember, any edit which does not figure on this page will not be counted in your final score. Thank you for your attention. |

Hello
Hello Cman16. You spelt 'breach' wrong. You spelt it 'breech'. The proper way to spell it is 'breach'. Remember that now. TurboGolf 06:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've heard of nicely correcting someones spelling but geez just judging from that post it sound like you were insulting me.-- CM16 MLB 17:30, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Response
Hi ChristianMan. I've responded to your comments at my RfA to help you become more familiar with my contributions. Thank you for your comments. Malinaccier (talk) (review) 01:40, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
AGF
Hello Cman, please remember to Assume Good Faith. You were not attacked in WP:RfA and I think you mis-construed Tharnton's note of your spelling of "breach". Lets all just chill out. Try not to be offended so easily. Regards, Kennedy (talk) 11:54, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- I can see that, I'm just naturally a little touchy on here....I'll try to improve.-- CM16 MLB 18:45, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
User talk:American Eagle
Hello, I have edited your comment on the above talk page. It is not really a good idea to give out your email address, IM usernames etc online. I'd suggest using email instead. Regards, Kennedy (talk) 14:10, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hello, following your edit, I have sanitized the history of American Eagle's talk page; in general, do not leave any info that could serve to personally identify you on publicly viewable pages. I guess you'll have set an email addy in your profile - people can contact you that way without that addy being revealed to everyone. You might want to look at your comment on that page again, and perhaps add something like "Please contact me to get info on how to reacgh me." - Thanks for your understanding --Eptalon (talk) 14:41, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Tough on vandals
"Tough" meaning that you want to smash them? But if you are christian, then you shall forgive their sins and their dastardly deeds. BaenreEntreri (talk) 01:31, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
- I do forgive them BUT it doesn't mean I let them do what they please.-- CM16 MLB 02:10, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
WikiCup Points
Hello TrueCRaysball/Archive. You may stop updating your wikicup edit count (unless told otherwise by a judge) as it will be done by a judge from now on. Thank you, Yotbot (talk) 21:53, 14 January 2009 (UTC) |
Rollback and Undo
Hi ChristianMan16, you are probably correct that I should have used "undo" as it wasn't vandalism, just a guideline thing. I did leave message explaining the change on their userpage, which was full of vandal warnings (must be a shared IP address). I shall take more care in future, all the best, --Peterdownunder (talk) 06:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hi ChristianMan16, I'm not trying to create a problem here, but I would remind you of the Manual of Style guideline "Articles that focus on a topic specific to a particular English-speaking country should generally conform to the usage and spelling of that country." There would never have been such a thing as an English jail - I shall go back to the page and do a couple of things to solve the problem - 1. Make sure the word is hyperlinked and 2. Put in both spellings to help the US readers eg. gaol (jail). That should keep everyone happy. Best wishes, --Peterdownunder (talk) 06:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
It's me
It's me, Aaron, and what made you revert yourself? The edits were well-sourced. Removal of well-sourced edits, with claims supported by said sources, is not justified. JustizFürAlles (talk) 07:48, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- I figured I'd leave it up to somebody else cause I don't know anything on the subject to tell if it's biased or not, I just want to make sure things are done right, please quit evading your bane. It only hurts you, please?-- † ChristianMan16 t c r 07:52, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, it's perfectly well sourced. Please do not remove it, but you can find more sources to corroborate my claims. I can be reached further at joeyyuan (at) cox.net --Jonas
Re:Nameless User
Woah woah woah! Cman, please assume good faith. Have you ever discussed this with him before? If not, try to explain why {{reflist}}
is preferred (if it is). Remember, bold capital letters is THOUGHT TO BE SHOUTING online. Try explaining things before you warn someone. A few people have asked you to do this before, please take heed. Theres only so many times we can remind you. Regards, Kennedy (talk) 13:11, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- All of this fuss over a template. Wow. VandalFighterFR(V) Bad warning? 14:03, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- That was nearly good faith, it's not like I yelled at him, all I did was put a little emphasis on the "stop". The <references/> tag only shows the references, while {{reflist}} shows them and give you the choice of columns which is good when multiple references are there.-- † ChristianMan16 t c r 18:49, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for your support in my RfA which passed 24/0/0. I will do my best to better Wikipedia with the administrative tools that the community has seen fit to grant me. I stopped by to tell you thank you for your work on DYK, it looks like the more reviewers, the better. We might not agree on some nominations, but overall, I think we share the same goal, the encyclopedia. Keep up the good stuff! Very best! NonvocalScream (talk) 05:56, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Juliancolton's RFA
Hi there. I do not know if you have seen my comment on Juliancolton's RFA but I am wondering what the exact reason of your oppose is. Just saying "Per above" isn't really helpfull. I look forward to your response. Addshore (talk) 20:52, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for voting in my recent RfA. Unfortunately, I have decided to withdraw from the RfA due to concerns brought up in the oppose votes. The final tally was 4 supports and 6 opposes. I would like to thank American Eagle for the nomination. Razorflame 22:08, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for participating in my recent request for adminship, which passed with a total of 21/5. I will try to the best of my abilities to maintain the trust of the community, and I will carefully consider the opposes to learn how to further improve. Re: Removing content in Jordan Galland
Thanks for the unnecessary ham-fisted warning. I did include a reason in my edit summary; if you disagree, that's fine but crying "vandalism" is just plain ignorant. Try calling on your Christian heart to assume good faith. Cheers! Precious Roy (talk) 21:18, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- If you had actually assumed good faith, the word "vandalism" would not have been used. Period. Precious Roy (talk) 21:24, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- If you took issue with my edit you could have simply reverted it. If, as you say, you didn't actually consider it to be vandalism, you could have either a) put your reason in your edit summary and moved on or b) dropped me a short note on my talk page. Instead you used a vandalism warning template—I'll assume good faith on your part and take that to only mean that you're lazy and that there isn't something else to it. As far as "doing your duty", I hope that in the future, you take a little more care not to bite the newcomers. The next one you "do your duty" to may not have experience with Wikipedia and you could easily scare them off the Project. Precious Roy (talk) 21:33, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
CM: Don't use that template if its not vandalism. Use an actual message you hand type. Please don't do that again. Synergy 21:39, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I noticed this while looking at new changes. Precious Roy gave a reason. You may not agree with the reason, which is fine, but what he did wasn't vandalism. I agree a note to discuss the edit (or just a revert with your disagreement) rather than a warning of any level would have been more appropriate. Toliar (talk) 21:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've handled it with an apology, it's done, let's move on.-- Chris†ianMan16 t c r 21:44, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

but what I mean is downloading a pic off of fickr...it seems the owner has to give explicit permission, I will look into this, thanks for your help, also I don't like the tone Precious Roy talks to me in! it is demeaning, where can I go to complain? thanks!Eastvillagegroupie (talk) 20:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: your attitude
What part of my interaction with User:Eastvillagegroupie has not been civil? Or do you make a practice of warning other users before they do things? I also take exception to your saying I have "quite a bad attitude". I took issue with your warning me for non-existent vandalism (which three other users were quick to—independently and without being asked—agree was improper). That's a bad attitude in your book? Please, before you insert yourself into a situation, do a little research and get all the facts before you open your mouth. Precious Roy (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to step in out of nowhere, but ^that comment was uncivil. SimonKSK 22:54, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) Asking someone to gather facts before commenting is uncivil? Gee, this Simple English Wikipedia sure is more complicated than the regular English one. ChristianMan16: first off, "hot head" and "bad attitude" do not mean the same thing. Secondly, my irritation at your misuse of a vandalism template surely wasn't hot-headed, or are you just not used to being taken to task for your errors? Three uninvolved editors were also very quick to jump in and tell you you were in the wrong—were they being hot-headed as well? I have years of experience on the Normal English Wikipedia and I know well how to edit and how to comport myself around here. If I'm a little brusque when my editing is baselessly called into question, I hope it doesn't hurt your feelings. Precious Roy (talk) 23:13, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, that's amazing. I just realized I've been lectured on how to behave on Wikipedia by someone who was banned from the Normal English Wikipedia. I'm gobsmacked. Precious Roy (talk) 23:18, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
